Wish you were here - I'll be having so much fun...........
They seemed like a good idea when I bought them...............
(all THREE of them )
CHANDELIERS..........................( and I probably will )
Just stick some anthrax in an envelope and send it to me as soon as possible.......
I'll need a subtle reminder or it'll be lights out.
Have a good one all :)
Good luck with those! haha
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...One of those things that sounded so good in your head but the reality was totally different?! It's like all the glass shade pendant lights hanging in my kitchen. I love how they look but they get dirty so fast and what a pain in the patoot to clean! How DO you clean your chandeliers? I see the tiny lights that hang down within the glass thingies. Windex and wipe each bauble? From atop a ladder? With Windex dripping below? Nice. :)
ReplyDeleteOHMYLORD... That's the type of piece that brings on a nervous breakdown :) As long as you don't have to clean it, it's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI hope the crystals unhook so you can take them down to clean. Since my shoulder froze, we have been changing our light fixtures to pendants for easy lightbulb changing in our aged years! It is not something you think about when you are young and supple.
ReplyDeleteSo where's Daisy from Downton Abbey when you need her! lol
ReplyDeleteBut they're SO PRETTY!!!!!

Oh my gosh they are gorgeous! But what a cleaning nightmare!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! But I understand what you're saying. I have been shopping for a chandelier for our dining room these last month and have decided it needs to be a wood/iron simple one that a feather duster can easily roll over. If not it will have cobwebs hanging across it, making our place look like a hunted house, if I have to do any hard cleaning on a ladder, lol.
ReplyDeleteUmmm...beautiful BUT they do get dirty. I have to get the one in my bathroom cleaned- I need a TALL ladder...UGH! Hope you have a good day-and that YOUR lights don't go out (in Canada-as opposed to Georgia) and now I will have that song running thru my head all day- xoxoDiana
ReplyDeleteWe have to clean the one over our dining room table all of the time too. Very tedious work. Have fun. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a job...be careful that you don't trip over your gown.
ReplyDeleteI would tell you to have fun but that is a job....it is one of those sharp stick in the eye, clean the chandelier??? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Well a girls gotta work for her sparkle you know!!! They're gorgeous and they look worth it.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are pretty. Chandeliers have become expensive.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous!! But I don't envy you :) I once helped to clean a 5-foot long amazing crystal chandelier. It took 30 of us 3.5 hours...Since then I have a whole different appreciation to crystal chandeliers :)
ReplyDeleteHustling out to buy the anthrax now! (Where does one procure it, I wonder???)
ReplyDeleteThose chandeliers are GORGEOUS. I know they are a lot of work, and you are probably muttering under your breath, but wow. I bet you love 'em.
Good to see you!

Oh they're gorgeous...but I wouldn't want to clean them!
ReplyDeleteSTill Beautiful....regardless of the work! First time visiting your blog...I know I'm gonna love it! I am your newest follower....Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and I'll bet they really sparkle!
ReplyDeleteBe careful not to trip from the ladder, you could crack a rib!!! From here, your lamps look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous chandeliers, but yes, they do need to be cleaned. One of my least favorite chores. Be careful.
ReplyDeleteThey really are pretty. I think Mom used to wrap a garbage bag around hers and spray them with Windex. You should invest in one of those little steamers. You could just hose her down with some steam.
ReplyDeleteLots of work, but it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn - they are a lot of work though - will never get this particular kind again ( the pendants do NOT come off )
