And here I go again - changing things because they're hanging around a leetle too long for my liking!!!
Remember this? ( you can see the transformation HERE )
Well it would seem no one else liked it as much as I did
or weren't impressed with my shabbifying this piece
and so I had no choice but to change it up a little bit
and even though I haven't had much luck with pink - I think this looks so sweet for a little girl's room
I'm not even sure how I made this color - it was in one of my " recipe " bottles - where I mix colors up when I get to the end of tins..............
but it's such a soft pretty color whatever it is
I was trying to organize a little this week - trying would be the operational word here - and came across these
They're panels from the dollar store - which I use as a privacy blind in my office ( being in a row house you absolutely need privacy blinds )
and for some reason I've never noticed the hearts in them !!!
but this dresser is meant to be in a little " sweetheart's " bedroom - and so hearts were added
using the panels as a stencil - a " subtle " touch was all I wanted
And now my fingers are crossed that someone has the perfect spot in a little girl's room for this!

Have a wonderful day all!!!

This looks absolutely darling! When I read the title "Pink Dresser" I didn't know what to expect but you worked your magic!
ReplyDeleteOh Suzan, it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really need to get busy painting my dresser.
I have the paint.
I know it would look great.
But I am too lazy to take off all of the hardware, remove all of the clothes and be in limbo for a day or two.
Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and pretty! I hope it sells soon for you!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very pretty piece. I liked it before, but I think this transformation has probably made it easier to sell.
ReplyDeleteI like your privacy blinds, both decorative and functional.
I like the color! My "little" girl is now all into neons and black/white/silver at the moment, but a few years ago she would've loved it :-) Great job, Suzan !
ReplyDeleteSweet in that pale pink!
ReplyDeleteYou are a master in transformations, Suzan. You made it just beautiful.

DeleteI would put this in my sweet little Anni's room. It's adorable, Suzan. Will your sweet little wreath go with it?
ReplyDeleteSuch a soft pink and it looks great Susan. Would even be cute in a Baby's room; add a pad and have a changing table.
ReplyDeleteGood work.
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
It looks fantastic, Suzan! Good job!
ReplyDeleteLove it? How is the squirrel problem going?
ReplyDeleteLike it better. We must be hanging around each other too much. I was going to paint my dresser I just bought those colors. I wasn't sure how it would sell so it is still sitting and I am still pondering!
ReplyDeleteThe dresser is gorgeous! I wish I was as creative as you---I would love to make something like this for my granddaughter's bedroom. And the paneling is a cool idea----perfect for a little privacy.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I so wanted to do pink in my girls room but they just wouldn't go for it!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzan,
ReplyDeleteI love this dressser! The pink color is so cute. Very soft and pretty.
Kris
Dresser is gorgeous for a little girl's room. Love the privacy blind from the Dollar Store also. May I ask what Dollar store is that, Dollar Tree? I too am in a row house and these would work too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much !!!
DeleteI'm in Montreal - our dollar store is called Dollarama ( I'm sure you can find them in the States but would have no idea where - sorry about that )
xxx
It's gorgeous - before and after. I'm sure some lucky little girl will love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather!!!

It looks so dainty now. I'm really picky about pinks, but that is a lovely shade. The hearts are so cute and they go with the design in the middle, which reminds me of angel wings.
ReplyDeleteIf I could get away with putting this in my bedroom Betsy, I would LOL
DeleteIt's a very subtle pink - barely pink is what I would call it
And thanks so much for your kind words!!!
XOXO
How beautiful, I love Little girl's pink, it's so sweet like cotton Candy! Lovely job pretty Suzann! Thank you for your kind visit, my friend.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,

I love PINK!! What a gorgeous dresser you have painted. Some little girl will be getting a prize! Glad your computer is back up and running. It's almost as bad as a broken down car!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Seeing results like this make me wish I had a granddaughter closer to home. We have 8 grandsons & 1 granddaughter, who lives in Edmonton with our son and his family (two older brothers...she's getting spoiled and she's not quite 2 years yet!)
ReplyDeleteOh well, I still love how yours turned out, Suzan.
Debbie :)
(I have fixed my no-reply so many times I've lost count! Am I still/again?)
While I cannot imagine why someone did not purchase it before, I am sure some small girl will be begging for this pink chest.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little dresser...:) I'm sure someone will come along who needs it for their little girl! I wanted to tell you I put something on my blog for you a couple days ago if you want to check it out.....http://lifeonwilliemaelane.blogspot.com/2013/08/another-hodge-podge-post.html
