Hmmm...What are you doing this weekend? Arguing with John over door colors? lol I am BACK! Alive and kicking and full of sass as usual. I LOVE doors. I used to have a framed picture of doors of Ireland and I don't know what happened to it. Hope you have a great day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteNice! There is something about that grey door with the apple green wreath that I just love.....I have a neighbor whose house is grey siding, black shutters and roof, and painted their door that apple green. It is stunning (to me).

Those red doors speak to me. One of these days, front door and back door are going red!
ReplyDeleteOK. I'm going to ask your advice... because you obviously know your way around houses, and decorating, and all the things I'm not very good at. We want to paint our front door/ garage doors. I have no idea what colour to use. I love everything in this post, but I doubt that I can get hubby on board with yellow, or red, or green. The brick is neutral, roof is black (I think, maybe dark grey...like charcoal). There's a photo here: http://jennsrandomscraps.blogspot.ca/2013/03/weve-moved.html
ReplyDeleteHelp!
Hope you're having a lovely week, and enjoying that new grandbaby :)
My doors are cranberry and I wouldn't change them for anything, except another shade of cranberry or rusty red. Wonderful pics though, so you are still pondering...your exteriors? What ever happened with your poll on the exterior...white/gray/black?
ReplyDeleteI was curious to see how that came out, thanks Sandi
Some wonderful ideas, time for a door makeover at our home.. Lovely blog and wonderful photos.

I love doors - old and new. What a great selection. Now, what colour would you paint your door? I believe it's brown wood right? We are looking at buying a new front entry system - door and sidelights - for our 43 year old split entry house. I wish I knew what to get and what colour to paint it. We plan to change the siding next year from white to ??, maybe grey, so will leave painting the door until after. Decisions, decisions. Even choosing the style of door and sidelights is difficult! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI am about to paint some of my interior doors black, can't wait!! I painted my front door at the beach turquoise and it looks great! I LOVE your collection of doors!
ReplyDeleteJenna
I like the doors in the 3rd pic, with the planters in the 4th pic ~
ReplyDeleteI say go for purple!!
I guess that you will be painting your door. :} With your black shutters, a black door would look great.
ReplyDeleteBad thing about red or yellow, they fade so bad in the sunlight.
Have a fun and enjoyable weekend
Hi Suzan I think all front doors should have a little personality no matter what color you paint it. It should shine as the entry into your home. Love all the colors and pretty doors.

I just yesterday chose colors for my door and shutters and now my dark blue looks boring, compared to pink, yellow, and aqua. Thanks Suzanne, for making my brain go on overload with the possibilities!!!! You rascal, you!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course, any sexy bright color might scare away the deer and black bears, not to mention frighten the woodpeckers and owls......... decisions, decisions......
Dark blue sounds gorgeous to me Marje !!!
DeleteI ended up with red and now wish I'd gone with aqua LOL

I want to paint my shop door fuscia. But we have storm doors here, why don't any of those doors have a screen door on them?
ReplyDeleteOh those are gorgeous! Love.them.all! What color will you go with? Can't wait to see! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have some fabulous inspiration. So, what color? I love that blue green.
ReplyDeleteOh Suzan, what a stunning array of front doors. :) I love this, thank you!! ~ Christina
ReplyDeleteWe, and by we I mean Joe, just repainted our front door Black. It had gotten all scratched up before we got a storm door. Have fun painting....what color???
ReplyDeleteI love those doors! Great selection! №3 black, №2 red and №3 purple are my favorites)
ReplyDeleteI think I want to paint mine black now too....after I get one of those fancy doors though! Happy Friday Suzan!
ReplyDeleteLove the black doors. They always look so crisp and sharp. Wondering if you have any ideas on how to add that stone look to an entryway that is cement. We've been thinking about adding tile, but really would like a stone look like house number 4.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your post and drool over every front door, I'm really sorry that my cottage doesn't have a front door... I only have a glass door, it's great because it overlooks the garden, but how I wish I had a beautiful door to paint!
ReplyDeleteI see that we share door love. My eye is always drawn to interesting ones.
ReplyDeleteI loved every door in all these colors! How would I choose? I'm also wondering...how did you choose? I'm dancing with anticipation. :-)
