A good trick is to leave it in the trunk of the car or as they say in Britain, the BOOT of the car, and then sneak the booty in when no one is around! Once he took the car with the stuff still in the boot, because I'd forgotten to take the stuff out right away, and I sweated bullets hoping he wouldn't have occasion to open the boot while he was out! Of course he did and when he got home he said, you've got junk in the trunk! Boy, do I!! The stories I could tell you. I don't risk bringing stuff in when he's home. Anyway, it is VERY hard now that we're both retired, especially when I have a delivery. I always would get home first from work so there was no problem, but he retired before me, and it's been rough ever since!!!
Aye, aye, aye, Ricky!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13771857135420281489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186929171672526984.post-60606174414268755382015-10-23T21:35:25.556-07:002015-10-23T21:35:25.556-07:00I've got no answer on drilling through resin b...I've got no answer on drilling through resin but I'm sure you've got something fabulous planned!Amy at Ms. Toody Goo Shoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11474198992341706776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186929171672526984.post-41004827869076014622015-10-23T13:48:28.945-07:002015-10-23T13:48:28.945-07:00that is an interesting piece. He also said sometimes they put rock in the resin material to make it heavier weight so if you drill and cannot get through it might be due to rock in the resin. He said though you can do this!!! I like it like that, unless in person you think that the wire or whatever you used to hang the wreath on the deer head is too obvious. You could hide the wire by putting a Fall or Christmas decorative bow or ribbon on the wreath and have one of the loops in front of it. Or wire or glue a small bunch of tiny pinecones and/or acorns and moss---or just moss on the wire. There are so many kinds of mosses available, and do the same with ivy and berries, etc., for Christmas---just enough to hide the wire or string hanger, but not covering the deer head.
I like your ideas! Even as the server it is a great idea! Very versatile! You sound like me hiding purchases from my husband! You GO, Girl!!! UM, on the drilling resin. Some are very brittle, if it has a good low thump--when you rap on it, it should be fairly dense.

Another secret---start with a very small drill---and then get progressively larger. I would then reinforce the inside, if it isn't not solid with some silcicone or quick dry caulk to stabilize the hole, or the expanding gorilla glue...as the weight of whatever you hang on it...will stress the resin. Good luck, I had an angel stone looking wall planter that I fought with for a long time as the original inset hanger broke and left a hole. I do think some epoxy boat repair got used on the back of that also...lol. Probably not)
I would also recommend using a hand brace rather than an electric drill, lets you have more control and sensitivity to what's happening.
I would practice on an old resin piece first but remember before doing any drilling in your item, make sure you know what it will be used for. Knowing you; I'm sure you will come up with something, and will be put to good use in one way shape or form

Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13106960827480062745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186929171672526984.post-76539086460978585212015-10-22T06:08:37.162-07:002015-10-22T06:08:37.162-07:00It's very easy to drill through resin.
