I ran into the dollar store on Friday to pick up some stencilling - but got a little side tracked................didn't pick up what I intended to get but came home with some pretties anyway.
I'm not a fan of fake flowers - at all - but couldn't resist these - they felt like " spring " to me and the green is more of a sage color - not that horrible fake green they usually put on flowers..................
.And then as I was leaving I spied these
And an idea was born.....................
some were tied into " bunches " to look like the bunches that hang from rafters when they're harvested
and some fit perfectly in the small planters - my favorite - don't these look like Spring is just around the corner?
Total cost for everything 10.00 -
Total cost for planter ( with one bunch of flowers cut up ) 4.00
Have yourselves a beautiful Sunday......................

Hmmm. They are nice faux greenery. I will have to check my dollar store.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm wondering how long before you paint the buckets? I've been unable to comment because of some wierd clickjacking message that's been coming up, but my husband has fixed it!
ReplyDeleteI'm following your bedroom makeover with great excitement! x
I love these.....and I always find the neatest thing in the Dollar Store!

Suzan, it is perfect. Love the color of the flowers:) I am with you, not a fan of fake flowers but there are some that look great out there. In the winter I use more fakes just because I don't have a garden to keep me in flowers, like I do in the summer.
ReplyDeleteSuzan just came over from Dewdrop gardens. Love the cute containers you bought.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if our $store has them...
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Linda

ReplyDeleteGreat find...they are really pretty! I was at the Dollar Store yesterday looking for ramekins for mousse but came away with these lovely little dainty glasses instead. I love the surprises that store holds.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the look of the branches hanging down from the china cabinet door knob. Looks dreamy!
ReplyDeleteSuzan these are really pretty and fresh looking. What a great bargain too. I was at my dollar store the other day and was amazed at all the cute spring stuff they had.

Now I will have to go see if our dollar store has anything like these ever-blooming flowers. I loved the way you styled them in the buckets. Cannot believe you did not paint them.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and pretty! Very spring-y.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the "fakes" are just perfect. (Not often, lol, but sometimes!)

I love it when I find a treasure at the dollar store!
ReplyDeleteFaux flowers are so much better than the old ones were. I use them all the time. Tucked into those galvanized pails, they look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Suzan. I agree, I don't like fake flowers, but I have to say they are getting a bit better. So at this time of year, sometimes there is no choice.
ReplyDeleteDebbie :)
So pretty and much better than those old ones that just screamed artificial. Isn't it great when so much pretty comes so cheap ;-) A personal favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteGreat dollar store finds.....I run into a dollar store here and there....I have found some great deals! They are not like they used to be, Im usually pleasantly surprised by what I find!

We have had gorgeous weather here this week, feels like spring, but alas no flowers. I love all the purple, cute idea, and cute lil pots too. All the birds chirping in my yard have me longing for spring and now your purple flowers have me longing for the smell of lilac trees. hugs Tobey
ReplyDeleteHi Suzan!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of these flowers!! They're really soft and putting
them together with the pots was a great idea. It does feel like Spring
is around the corner with these on display in your home...Fake or not.
Love the idea of hanging them from your cabinet door!!
Have a great week!!
