A Red Headed Woman...............

Well brunettes are fine, man
Blondes are fun ( I can vouch for that btw )
But when it comes to getting the dirty job done
I'll take a Red Headed Woman................

A little Bruce Springsteen to start your day off

And a Red Headed Woman to go with it..................

ASCP Emperor's Silk - dresser makeover

For those of you that haven't jumped on the Chalk Paint craze yet - and find it costly - 1 tin
covered the above dresser and the below dresser

and there's enough left to paint - oh I don't know - a mirror - or a small stool...............so the coverage is amazing

add that to the fact that you don't have to use a primer ( which can be costly in and of itself )
and you really do have an affordable paint here...................

Paints used
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - Emperor's Silk
Rustoleum Spray - Black for handles

This one lasted a day - and it was signed - sealed - and to be delivered this afternoon

Have a great Thursday all!
Hugs,

  3. Pretty! There is something about a piece of red furniture. One of the local shops (ASCP stockist) had the most gorgeous Emperor's Silk painted Queen Anne style sideboard on the front porch. I almost wrecked the car when I drove by. It was painted beautifully with highlights in gold and then dark waxed over top. Absolutely stunning. (I still think about that sideboard and get a little weak in the knees...)

  14. Well, you certainly have me sold! I've been researching information online and I am ready to jump in with both feet. I've even found a shop in a neighbouring town that sells this paint, so I can pop in and chat with the owners. I've already made a list of items in the house that I'd like to refinish. This is going to be exciting! My husband was joking that if I really enjoy this, there will be nothing in the house that will be safe from my paint brush ;)

  15. So pretty. Love the red. Did you wax it too?

  16. How did you seal this piece? Absolutely beautiful! One of my favorite colors too!

  17. Totally agree! the paint is amazing, coverage is amazing, and it is not that expensive when you price latex and primer both! Besides latex is horrid to paint with inside and I can't always work outside! I love the fact that I can grab my brush and do a project whenever I want - right on my dining room table! I just painted a mirror frame today - to get it out of the project pile and onto the wall!

  24. Emperors Silk is one of my favourite colours. In fact, I'm sitting here looking at the first ASCP project I did and it was Emperor's Silk. Love how your dressers turned out. No wonder it sold so quickly, my friend.

  30. This is true about redheads, we are unique, even though, mine comes from the salon...does that count. Huge Springsteen fan by the way. I have a drum stick I caught from Max at one of a million concerts I have seen.

Another gorgeous job! Love the color.

  31. A piece in red and a piece in black always grounds a room no matter the decor style. Love that color.

  32. She's gorgeous! I did a desk in Emperor's Silk this week for a client, it was so much fun to paint with such a vibrant colour. Everybody always wants neutrals, so I enjoyed that. And you sold yours in no time at all, proving that once it's done in red, people love it!
