Good morning everyone !
You won't usually find recipes on my blog but I thought I'd share this one because it's just so delicious and so quick and easy to boot !
John says - I hope you're not going to start taking photos of everything we put in our mouth.
Suzan says - It'll only take a moment - sheesh !
John says - Why don't you paint a dresser or something ?
OK - this is how easy it is
Place chopped potatoes in a bag in the sink ( it really helps contain the mess )
and mix them with whatever herbs and spices you normally use
I used garlic - oregano - basil - salt and pepper - chile peppers and a little steak spice and olive oil
and squish the bag all together until everything is evenly distributed ( I could eat these as a meal with nothing else )
place them in a pan
I used Arrabiatta sausages but any will do
I boiled them first to remove some of the fat................and then cut them into bite sized pieces
Mix them into the roasting pan with the potatoes with a diced onion and .................
Until it looks like this
and roast for 1 hour on 350.................
Promise you - it's delicious !!!
Have a wonderful day everyone
I'm going to be having a weekful of Evan ♥
Big hugs,
Me

Oh my GOSH ... this looks so good ... wish I had some sausage, I would make that today. So I see a trip to the grocery store today.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Audrey Z.
Have the best week with Evan!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really good. I will have to try it when I can start eating potatoes again. I am watching my carbs and haven't had a potato in 6 months.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween and have a spooky weekend.
Mary
It looks delicious. I must try it. Enjoy your week with baby Evan.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Thel - you'll love it !

Oh yum! I need to try that! I don't know if I can find tomatoes like those though...I'll have to look.
ReplyDeleteAw, lucky you to get an Evan weekend. I know you'll enjoy it. I'm going to Canton with my twin sis...we are celebrating our birthday a week early. :)
Yummy I bet you can use leftover for breakfast and just add some scramble eggs in there with some cheese ....!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know Patty - all the years I've been making this I NEVER once thought to use leftovers for breakfast - omg - I have to try it - I'm sure it'll be delicious with scrambled eggs mixed in there !
DeleteTHANKS so much !

That sounds really good, Suzan---especially with the colder weather moving in. I could make a meal on just the potatoes, too. lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour conversations with John crack me up! They sound very similar to the ones between Mr. Ramblings and I! ha! Sometimes they just don't get this blogging thing, do they? The food looks fabulous! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteNo most of them don't get it at all LMHO !!!
DeleteThanks so much Rhonda !

Would it be wrong to make this now at 11:30pm, and have it as a midnight snack? You're torturing me - this looks amazing! Pinning so I can try it at a normal hour.
ReplyDeleteLooking Good and can't get much easier than that. Have done something like this before but I did boil my potatoes for about 5 minutes first; helps shorten the roasting time.
ReplyDeleteThank U my dear
It looks yummy! I'll give it a try. Now off with you grandma to visit your adorable little boy!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary !
DeleteAs for Evan? I'd move in there if they'd let me LOL !!!

MMMMMM! Looks yummy ! We make a different version of this. And I do it on top of the stove. I don't put all the herbs on the potatoes, but maybe I should start. We use a Hatch green chile sausage that came on the market last year. It's SO good! I also add bell peppers, which hubby doesn't care for, but I like. After putting onto our plate, we add shredded cheddar cheese for a little extra extra yummi-ness.
ReplyDeleteOh, this would be good with andouille. (I'm from Louisiana!)
ReplyDeleteI think we have a winner with this one pan dish and with taters... M-M- Good...
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Roxy
Wow, Suzan, that looks so good! I pinned the recipe to my FOOD Pinterest board! Are you on Pinterest? I doubt it--you are a DO-ER, it seems to me. You keep yourself too busy! I love potatoes and anything, but this combo sure looks good! My husband would love it too. BTW, from now on I'm going to call my husband John number 2 because your John's antics remind me of my John no. 2's antics and conversations you describe. Only I don't think your John can hold a candle to mine! The stuff mine comes up with is just unbelievable! His middle name really IS John anyway! Rightly named, I'd say, N'est-ce pas? I call him Ricky Ricardo too cuz I Lucy him to death!
ReplyDeleteA bientot, ma Cherie!
Laura, et al
Oh I'm on pinterest Laura - slight addiction to that too !!!
DeleteYour hubs has to be Fred because you're Ethel LMHO
xoxo
I make something similar and we love it! Will give your recipe a try. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
He Suzan, I just wanted to pop over to tell you that I made this recipe the other night. There wasn't even a crumb left in the pan! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious.... perfect for warm months. Thanks so much for sharing it at Tips & Tricks last week. Hope to see you there tomorrow night! :)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to try this.. the whole idea of prepping and not having to attend anything in a pan is wonderful. it looks so good! Thanks for sharing at You're Gonna Love It!
