Once upon a time there was an ugly armoire

Meet Patience, everyone!!!

That stood in an old second hand shop window - filled with filthy plastic Elvis Presley paraphernalia
How much is that Armoire in the window ( you know the tune of that song, right? ) the lady sang out.
The Armoire's heart began beating - could this be the one?  Would someone finally be taking her
home and show her a little love?  Or would this be another disappointing window shopper -
Wait a minute.....................she's negotiating....................now she's having a discussion with her
better half about how they can actually get me home.........................AND YES................money
is being transferred between hands......................

  MY NEW APPLIQUES!!!

MY PAINTED DETAILS

I'VE BEEN MONOGRAMMED - I'M HERE TO STAY!!!

MY CROWNING GLORY!

MY LEGS HAVE BEEN WAXED!!!  AREN'T THEY SEXY?

EVERY LADY NEEDS A LITTLE BLING

MY SKIRT

AND I'M DONE!!!
I FEEL PRETTY - AND WITTY AND -

OK BE QUIET ALREADY -  YOU'RE AN ARMOIRE, NOT MY OFFSPRING.

The End.....................

BTW - bought this last summer and just got around to finishing it now so she does have patience.
And that is what she will be known as from here on in...............
No wonder she's singing

XXX

this is too hilarious - because I giggle sometimes when I write up my posts - and so I just read the post to John thinking it was cute -  he actually put his head in his hands and shook it and then dead serious he said to me " I think you're off the wall, you know - what the hell kind of post is that?"

It's my kind of post John, it's mine..........................

  3. I love your post! Sometimes I crack myself up too. The armoire is a terrific storage piece for your linens. I too am on the lookout for something like that because I have no linen closet on the main floor of my house. Yours turned out great, and I really like the two colors and the monogram. Thanks for visiting.

  20. Came over from DIY to see the armoire. Beautiful job! I name all my pieces that I transform - it gives them personality and leads me in the right direction to choose paint colors. But you are in too deep when you put your monogram on something - it will stay forever! She turned out very sexy and classy at the same time - hard to do!
