That's the night that the lights went out......................

If anyone's looking for me today - I'll be standing on a ladder cleaning these...............

Wish you were here - I'll be having so much fun...........

They seemed like a good idea when I bought them...............

 (all THREE of them )

It was preblogging days - if and when this place sells - and we go on to the next one - and I mention
CHANDELIERS..........................( and I probably will )
Just stick some anthrax in an envelope and send it to me as soon as possible.......

I'll need a subtle reminder or it'll be lights out.

Have a good one all :)

  2. Hmmmm...One of those things that sounded so good in your head but the reality was totally different?! It's like all the glass shade pendant lights hanging in my kitchen. I love how they look but they get dirty so fast and what a pain in the patoot to clean! How DO you clean your chandeliers? I see the tiny lights that hang down within the glass thingies. Windex and wipe each bauble? From atop a ladder? With Windex dripping below? Nice. :)

  3. OHMYLORD... That's the type of piece that brings on a nervous breakdown :) As long as you don't have to clean it, it's very pretty.

  4. I hope the crystals unhook so you can take them down to clean. Since my shoulder froze, we have been changing our light fixtures to pendants for easy lightbulb changing in our aged years! It is not something you think about when you are young and supple.

  7. Beautiful! But I understand what you're saying. I have been shopping for a chandelier for our dining room these last month and have decided it needs to be a wood/iron simple one that a feather duster can easily roll over. If not it will have cobwebs hanging across it, making our place look like a hunted house, if I have to do any hard cleaning on a ladder, lol.

  8. Ummm...beautiful BUT they do get dirty. I have to get the one in my bathroom cleaned- I need a TALL ladder...UGH! Hope you have a good day-and that YOUR lights don't go out (in Canada-as opposed to Georgia) and now I will have that song running thru my head all day- xoxoDiana

  9. We have to clean the one over our dining room table all of the time too. Very tedious work. Have fun. ;)

  14. These are gorgeous!! But I don't envy you :) I once helped to clean a 5-foot long amazing crystal chandelier. It took 30 of us 3.5 hours...Since then I have a whole different appreciation to crystal chandeliers :)

  15. Hustling out to buy the anthrax now! (Where does one procure it, I wonder???)

Those chandeliers are GORGEOUS. I know they are a lot of work, and you are probably muttering under your breath, but wow. I bet you love 'em.

    Good to see you!

  20. Gorgeous chandeliers, but yes, they do need to be cleaned. One of my least favorite chores. Be careful.

  21. They really are pretty. I think Mom used to wrap a garbage bag around hers and spray them with Windex. You should invest in one of those little steamers. You could just hose her down with some steam.

Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
