The Laurentian's in the Fall

Good morning everyone !

I know I've done quite a few posts on Montreal as a tourist destination - but I don't think I've ever done one on a huge industry here - which is the changing of the leaves in the Laurentians.

Tourist buses are all over the place around this time of year with people piling in to head up north.

I keep saying how much I dread it every year ( because of the season that follows it ) but truly, it's one magnificent season

It's gorgeous - just gorgeous to behold -
And it would be a sin for a Canadian girl NOT to love a red leaf, now wouldn't it?

Have a wonderful day everyone !

  1. Oh, Canada, how I miss your brilliant colours, especially at this time of year! Thanks for my expat hit of Canadiana, Suzan. Enjoy the splendour, my friend!

  4. What gorgeous colour in the Laurentians. I've never been there and only think of it as a ski destination (which I don't do). The trees are changing so fast. Have a good day. Raining there?

  7. Absolutely glorious!!! I have 2 October Glory maple trees in my front yard and they are the prettiest trees in our neighborhood when they do turn red, which actually isn't until November in our neck of the woods!!!! Your pictures are the prettiest fall pictures I have seen so far this year. If we weren't going to Hawaii in a few weeks, I'd say hey honey, let's head north!!!! Have a blessed day!!!! XOXOXOXOX Karen

  12. Oh how I wish I was surrounded by those amazing colors! We have very few trees in Florida whose leaves turn colors at all. What a blessing to live surrounded by such beauty! Have a lovely week...Vicky

  16. My dad was born in the Laurentians, in a little village. I spent my summers there, plus the Christmas and New Years holidays. I am so fortunate for such wonderful memories. Thank you so much for this post. Hugs, Pat.

  25. Suzan, thank you, thank you. I live in Florida so these photos look like paradise. I grew up in western NY and I miss the seasons. People joke that in north Florida winter occurs in January and then we're back to summer -- which has its advantages but, like anything, can get monotonous.

    1. Thanks so much Iris !
I know I'd miss the four seasons if I moved to a warmer climate ( which has been my threat for the last 5 years LOL ) They're pretty special to see

  26. Oh I do love all the red maples!! I'm from Michigan and we don't have the red maples that you do. Is it okay to be a little jealous? I know what you mean about fall....as beautiful as it is there is a certain dread of what lies ahead. ugh!!
Thanks for sharing your spectacular fall with us at Project Inspire{d}!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Enjoy your day of feasting and blessing tomorrow!
