The light as it's fading does something to my soul - truly - it's just magical to me.
But the mornings - oh my gosh - the mornings !
Something pretty incredible happens at the end of my street - at the little Church on the corner to be precise. You have to catch it at just the right moment............and you have to be living in MY house and be sitting in the upstairs office to get the perfect angle...............
And then it happens.
When the sun hits the glass ( there are NO lights on in the Church in these photos )
it leaves me breathless..............
I watch as it dances and then settles in precisely the right spot - as if the Church were its primary destination before lighting up my corner of the world.
And then it gives off one last glorious burst before it continues upward.....................
and the Church window goes dark again.
This spectacular event lasts for perhaps 5 minutes and yet somehow on the mornings I catch it - that light?
It fills me to the brim -
It restores me.
And fills me with joy - enough to last the whole day.
Every single time I see it.
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine
Let it shine
Let it shine.......................
Even in my home.............
I'm going to let it shine

Every time the light bounces off something outside, it hits me right in the eye, and I have to either put up with it for a few moments or shut the blinds. Not being blessed here!

Rush obviously lives someplace that has way too much sunlight, like obviously not in Wisconsin or Quebec. We don't even have curtains on all our many south facing windows. Let the sunshine in!

What a lovely post!! I have always loved that time at dusk when the lights start to go on in the neighborhood houses....I used to love to go for a walk at that time when my girls were small. We would walk through our little neighborhood where we lived back then and chat about what people were doing in their houses right then. It's such a warm and cozy time....
