Our new Home ( not so sweet yet ) Home !!!

It's official everyone - our new home :)

                                               LET THE CONVERSATIONS BEGIN

This is going to be more fun than -
I'm not quite sure
To see what I'm about to step into ( if you haven't already - or if you need a reminder of just how insane I am )
you can visit HERE
To see what I'm stepping away from you can visit HERE
To see where I may end up in the near future you can visit HERE

The only thing I'm going to say in my defence is this
The last home we bought - was on the market for over a year - no one and I mean no one wanted it -
even though it was on one of the nicest streets in a prestigious neighborhood - everyone thought I was crazy
BUT when we listed it - it was sold in 8 hours
The one we're leaving now was also on the market for 14 months - it didn't show well - even though this one is in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Montreal - BUT we sold it in 5 days ( even breaking a record for this area )
So you all need to have a little faith in me - BEFORE you have me committed ( although this time I may very well just have myself committed to be quite honest with you )

Blogging may become a little sporadic around these here parts

Suzan says - John you're going to have to help with the packing - I'm killing myself here - especially trying to lift them and put them on top of each other
John says - What are you talking about?  I started last week

AND HE'S DEAD SERIOUS EVERYONE - 100% DEAD SERIOUS

At this rate I'm pretty confident he'll have 4 complete boxes done by the 22nd of November - but you never know.....................you just never know -

Suzan says - I'm underwhelmed John - completely underwhelmed
Suzan says - I've packed over a hundred boxes - you can't even finish the one you started.
John says - Oh excuse me - I didn't know it was a competition
John says - Oh excuse me - I didn't know it was a competition
John says - Oh excuse me - I didn't know it was a competition

I typed that 3 times so you could get the full impact of those 10 words....................

Tonight

John says - what's for supper
Suzan says - you've got to be kidding me
John says - well we have to eat
Suzan says - so...............what are you making?
John says - I made supper 3 nights last week
Suzan says - Oh excuse me - I didn't know it was a competition......................

24 more days to get my hands on paint again
( it's much easier on the eyes in sketch form than reality right now lol )

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone
Much love,

  1. I am so excited for you, Suzan ! I would give just about anything to move {been living in the same house for 20 years!} And I can not wait to see how all the white you are planning turns out - now, that's one dream of mine which will never come true ..lol

  2. OMG !! I'm still laughing...for more than 5 minutes....with tears.... And I thought mine is the only man on Earth that does not help packing, considered that in 4 years we moved 3 times. Good luck Suzan!

  3. My, you managed to make me laugh,Suzan. But seriously, John, I'm very disappointed: you don't seem to help more than my cats!
I'm very excited about that new project. I can see all that white covering those walls and ceiling. It's going to be gorgeous!

  4. Do you think this is all a plot by John to hasten your departure to Bellevue? Tell him if he doesn't pack faster you are dumping his stuff!
I know your new home will be transformed into utter gorgeousness! I cannot wait to see all you do.

  5. It will be a lot of hard work but it will be amazing!! So happy to know that you will not be homeless! If I were closer to you I would gladly help pack. It will probably be better for your relationship with John if you do the packing and leave him to everything else!

  7. So happy that you won't be living in one of those boxes. Montreal tends to be a wee bit nippy in the winter. Ummm I have a cattle prod I can lend you. :)

  15. Packing is the worst. I remember packing 100 boxes, and my husband was just so unaware of how much stuff we had. Until we moved into our current house and he unpacked them all..lol. Good luck with the move.

  26. Holy smokes, girlfriend. I am excited, and hopeful, and stressed, and exhausted, all on your behalf. Picture it: Late Spring 2014. You've moved in and transformed enough house parts to make you content. It's dusk, warm outside, you have a cocktail, some outdoor twinkle lights and a swimming pool!!!! that is miraculously filled with warm water. Divine!

  49. I just know that your new home will be beautiful once you work your magic touch on it. I hate moving...when we were younger, we moved several times in 7 years, but we have lived in our home now for 20 years. I am looking forward to downsizing to a smaller home in the next few years though.
