  4. Where do I drop my dirty gardening clogs and where's the sink for washing veggies? Who washes down the tile walls of the shower to stop the mildew growing? How many servants does it take to keep up a place like this? I hope you will write a post, Suzanne, explaining why you do so love black and white doll houses like this that real people couldn't possibly live in. Te yard for show, not for real people with lives to live and grandkids snotty noses to wipe.......etc and so forth....... Normally I love to read your posts for your good ideas and your dear husband's take on it all and your great personality, but this one is just more than I can understand. Are we in different universes? I love you from a distance, anyway. I just don't understand you. Please forgive me......

    1. Oh Marje Marje Marje - where do I begin LOL ???
First of all real people do live in that house and quite happily, I bet !!! They have 2 children.
Secondly I show all kinds of houses - 2 weeks ago it was a complete gut job fixer upper - last week was small farmhouse that needed work - so this week? I felt like glamming it up a little ( when you're living in a fixer upper it's nice to have a little escape - that's all - oh my gosh - I never thought my Wanna live there series would offend anyone - it's just to enjoy really ! ( by the way I don't have a separate sink to wash veggies !!! ) As for black and white - along with grey - those are my colors - you must know that by now ? Can't help it - love 'em .............
Nothing to forgive friend - wouldn't it be boring if we were all the exact same?
I'm going to try to find a house for you next week :)
      xoxo

  6. HI Suzan!!

    So much to love!!

The moulding in the living room is so beautiful and I just love the lighting throughout the house!! I love how they use the vintage books, especially the large ones on the floor!! Mirrors are one of my favorite items to design with and this gorgeous house had so many beautiful ones!!

BUT.....WOW!!!!!!!! The closet!!!!!! Hello PINK!!! chandelier!!!! My goodness this walk-in closet is every woman's dream...At least mine and yours!! Of course it would have to come complete with all these shoes and Trinket boxes and such!!

    Great choice!!

  7. Who needs that many shoes??!!!? I could use that space for my fabric. {Who has that much fabric? hmmm...} Love the pink chandelier, though! Love the kitchen, too, for its light and airiness!

    2. A closet/dressing room with a pink chandelier; I'm petty sure that's what Heaven looks like. Who would want to leave?

  14. Love Wednesday Dream Days.
This place is gorgeous. The white makes everything clean and crisp looking.
I love that kitchen island. Very unique and I like different and unique things.
Noticed that there us a chandelier in just about every room of the house. Nice, but I wouldn't want to be the person to clean them all.
The owners do like using mirrors throughout the home which makes the rooms look larger than what they are.
Both their fur babies are adorable

  19. Hi Suzan, I saw this post last week, but was on the road and couldn't comment thanks to my uncooperative phone. Anyways, thanks for sharing these pics of Annie Brahler's fabulous home--- I'm a huge fan of hers and wish we could see more of her work out and about, so I'm always so thrilled when I stumble across pictures of her house and design projects. I'm definitely one of those who likes to see features of beautiful and inspiring homes.... because, well, they are inspiring.
