UNEXPECTED STORAGE AREAS !

Look up !
You know - that place where normal people would place curtains?
I use it for storage !

Above the door

On the door

and on the sides of the door

That door doesn't get used much in the winter...........if at all.

It was only a matter of time because when I see a door I automatically see storage after all

It's not a designer kitchen - not by far - but someone came in last week and mentioned that it looked like the
happiest kitchen they'd ever seen. And that compliment came from a man ! He said it looked like the kitchen of someone who loved to cook.

I'll take that !
A happy kitchen is one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten
I mean if I can't have a designer one - than that's the next best thing !

John - who hasn't banged into anything yet - and he's 6 foot 1 - says :

" maybe you should put a clearance sign like they put for tunnels on the road."

But that isn't the look I'm going for at all.................
( you can see the transformation of the kitchen here from the studs up :)

Have a wonderful day everyone !
Much love,
Hugs too

  1. Suzan - I agree with your visitor. It certainly does look happy. Your kitchen reminds me of a friend of mine's kitchen. I told her last time I was there that when entering it felt like you instantly got a big hug from the home.

  9. I think it is a very HAPPY looking kitchen, Suzan, and I think that a high falootin' designer could not have done any better! I LOVE it, and on top of everything else, it is COZY!! Also, YOU ARE a DESIGNER for sure!(in more ways than one to deal with John--eh, Lucy?) Ha!
You have the Midas Touch!I love the newfound storage too--great idea, and looks good too, and practical!

  10. Suzan, most most excellent storage ideas. :) LOVE the door. Maybe you need a different kind of sign... like... you must be this tall to offer opinions. :))) xoxo Christina in FL

Due to a large amount of spam ( that I'm tired of going back to posts and deleting ) I'll be using comment moderation from now on !!!
Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
to try my damnedest !!!
