They call me Mrs Inbetween........

SUB TITLED  -  HOW I'M AN INCH AWAY FROM A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
SUB SUB TITLED - WHY I HAVE NOTHING FINISHED TO SHOW YOU
SUB SUB SUB TITLED - WELCOME TO MY WORLD, WON'T YOU COME ON IN

My daughter is on her way to Florida - and I begged her to call me from the airport because I needed to wish her a safe flight before she got on that plane.  Told her I wouldn't be able to sleep until I got that call.
And then promptly fell asleep and missed her call.
Among all my disorders that is probably top of the list - so feeling yucky inside until I hear from her IN Florida.

Then I turned on my computer and went to blogger this morning and it tells me my account has been deleted due to suspicious activity - which set me into such a mode of panic I can't even explain to you...................
Deleted - nada - nothing - all my posts - all my photos.
Finally got it back up and running..................

I have a pile of these in the hallway to make a subway pallet art for my son - haven't gotten around to it yet

I've got a dresser almost finished - but not quite

I've got a bedroom floor 2/3's painted

and though my living room normally looks like this

this morning it looks like this

What a great start to the weekend!!!
Oh yeah - and my dining room looks like this

So no matter how awful a day you're having - it can't possibly be as shitty a start as mine LOL

I guess I'm going to be busy busy busy this weekend -

Lindsay ( she spells it LINZ )  call your Mother as soon as you land.

Everyone have a nice calm relaxing kind of weekend - and if you're feeling a little uptight - well just come on back and take a look at these photos - I guarantee you you'll feel better about yours after looking at them!

I'm off to finish that floor......................

( I just had a hilarious thought - imagine someone new coming to visit my blog?  What a first impression, Suzan, way to go - run - quick - run for the hills - before you get sucked up in this vortex of my life )

  1. I love you Suzan! You have such a way with words! And that dresser is soooo pretty. And my house looks like that everyday lately...as I sit around making snowmen....crazy!

  2. I think the living room looks comfy and inviting! It would be a great place to survive another snowy day - curled up on the couch and watching an old movie. You're too hard on yourself, Suzan. ♥

  3. What? Stuff in the living room? All over the dining room? Add to that all over the kitchen island and you have a regular day at my house. Let's not even talk about the office in the basement. Can't even go there. There's just enough room to open the door and a path to the desk. And then, the laundry room, which is now my painting room in the winter.

So take comfort in knowing, my dear friend, that you are not alone.

  4. Suzan, you don't have to have something to post everyday!
I could match your rooms with some of mine, except mine are worse!

  5. If someone new was visiting, and I'm sure they are, they would just be excited to see the next installment. :)

Your daughter's lucky to be in FL., what I wouldn't give... ;)

Hope you have a happy productive day. I've got a ton to do today too. At least I know I'm in good company.

Welcome to my world...woooooooooooooon't you come on in (sorry, it's too hard for me to resist that song). :)

  6. I am trying to dig out from 14" of snow so I can get back to work. I usually start my morning (4:45am) by seeing what you have posted to light up my day. I didn't have as bad a scare as you did when seeing the message that it had been deleted, but my heart sure skipped a couple beats. I hope you hear from your daughter soon and that your projects go more smoothly this weekend.

    1. Oh no Kerry - 14 inches is a lot of shoveling - stay away from me, I'm bringing bad luck to everyone LOL
Thanks so much - you have a " smooth " weekend too - stay warm - and safe - actually - stay IN.

  8. I HEAR YA, SISTA!!! I'm having a similar type of time. One thing after another, and the angst created by not being able to be outside for more than 3 minutes (except for shoveling!)does not help! No one is going to be scared off by this post, they will just relate. And if I lived closer to Florida I would drive to that airport and witness your daughter's safe arrival at the gate, then report back to you, just like a sympathetic Columbo.

  9. Oh Suzan! LMAO about the first time visitors!! It all looks like the house of a very productive person to me! Sorry you missed LiZZZZ's call, but she'll call you, you know it! And how IS that floor coming?? I'm going to craft a swear jar for you!

  16. Her plane does not fly over the Bermuda Triangle right? Shall I continue to feed all your irrational parental fears or just tell you my blog was gone one morning too, then a couple hours later it was back. Rumor had it the blog thieves live in Florida.

  17. Funny, as I woke up an hour late this morning ( a working day!), trying to drink something while getting dressed and looking for the car keys all at the same time, the thought "if readers could see you house, just now, they would unfollow in a second" crossed my mind. I've been sick and still working, meaning I had no energy for any housework all week... I could be ashame of my house..., so I'm training the cats to do the dishes and wipe their paws!!!

  18. You better watch that suspicious activity... That's some pretty awesome brick in your living room. I can't even feel to bad for you because my house looks like that a lot. A whole lot. We had company last Saturday so it got a pretty good cleaning before that. It lasted about a day.

  19. Keepin' it real, girl, you're keepin' it real......and those of us who follow you regularly are so happy to be in the vortex.

Hey, it's going to snow and rain all weekend so it's a perfect time to finish some projects. Hang in there - the housework will wait (as always).

  21. Take a chill pill and have a glass of wine, Suzan. I saw that time stamp on the before photo was way back in 2012! Every room in our house has a project not done, sorta done, almost done, and finished but not ready to sell, etc. My husband told me this morning we may have to let someone in the house to get a new hot water heater. To me it is a toss-up: a long, hot, steamy shower OR a total house cleaning?

  22. YAY!!!!!

    Yous back!!!!!

Had me going there lady. Glad, everything looks normal to me. Suzan has more than 1 project going on...That shows me you're normal. You're a riot!!!

See how much we all love you!!

  27. I'd post a picture of MY dining room table to make you feel better, but I'm not as brave as you. haha I did, however, show your picture to my husband to prove that I'm not the only one ;-p

  28. Suz, Your house is so cute, and I have half finished projects all over the house so no worries. I have become somewhat of a hoarder picking pieces up for what I hope will be a our next house and hopefully a much bigger house than this one. so all of our rooms are a mess, surprised I can find the dog.
If I was a first time visitor i would love your honesty, your sense of humour and the fact that you are a normal person like the rest of us. Sometimes our houses are immaculate and sometimes they are not. I used to stress about it but not any more, a messy house is a lived in house. hugs Tobey

  30. You crack me up! I have so many projects going that today I just wandered around aimlessly. I couldn't decide what I wanted to commit my time to so I did nothing!
