The memories are all in my mind
And now that we've come to the end of our rainbow
There's something I must say aloud
You're ONCE
TWICE
THREE times a lady
When we're together, the moments I cherish
with every beat of my heart
To touch you
To
To feel you, to need you
There's nothing to keep us apart.......................
You hear that John?
I can't let this one go..............
John?
JOHN?
JOHN?
She will not be 4 times a lady
I can promise you that LOL
Paint: Modern Masters - Metallic Paints - Pewter

ReplyDeleteBack away from the paint, Suzan. Back away!
ReplyDeleteStunning, Suzan! Really beautiful. And I'm still hunting for my 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' sheet music. I know it's around here somewhere...
ReplyDeleteHi Suzan,
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful. You my friend are the paint whisper!!!!
Kris

ReplyDeleteWow, is she ever ELEGANT!!! Definitely a keeper.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your delightful posts!!
Mary Alice
That is one lucky dresser. It went from obscurity to having it's own wardrobe montage like Julia Roberts in the shopping scene from Pretty Woman. I am totally digging this final outfit.
ReplyDeletelol 3rd times the charm i loved every version but this one really rocks enjoy it
ReplyDeleteI am in love with metallic paint and your 3x a lady is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBridge Over Troubled Water is another great song to sing- the whole album for that matter. I never get tired of Lionel, but I saw him on TV this weekend and he's had a bit of work done. Wasn't horrible, just shocking.
What did you do inside her drawers?
Simply GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteOh.
ReplyDeleteMy.
God.
That is it! It's spectacular. I love it.
I love the look of this! The finish is great too. I think I am going to have to try metallics now!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I was singing that first song yesterday. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beauty, Suzan!
Yay! You have redeemed me, or at least redeemed the metallic paint on our fireplace surround. When I posted about it, I think I heard crickets on my blog!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the chest now. You're too cute, and I appreciate your visit and kind comments on my blog. Following you back!
xo,
Ricki Jill
Ha, ha, What color next? But it`s gorgeous this time too. Keep on.(smile)
ReplyDeleteHugs from me
That is a wow paint color and very mirror like without the worry of breakage. Thanks for dropping by Olive Out.
ReplyDeleteLoving the song references AND the gorgeous silver color! Keep it!
ReplyDeleteFunny and creative post. Maybe I should try it with my drawer:)
ReplyDeleteI have to say I really like the 3rd time makeover! Lookin' great LADY!
ReplyDeleteAren't Modern Masters products just great?! The chest is all grown up now! Looks great Suzan.
ReplyDeleteShe shines!!! I love it. Can see why it's going to be a new obsession. What room is it going in?
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to have to sell her - I have no room Heather!!!!!!!!
DeleteTHanks so much!
XOX
Fabulous!!! Pinning this one for sure! Patti
ReplyDeleteGorgeous lady! WOW. This one's a keeper!! Now if I can just find a piece to try it on! My Jon will have (and OFTEN has) the same sentiment. Great post, thank you!
ReplyDeleteNo, I thank you!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteXOX
Thank you very much for sticking these songs in my head for the rest of the afternoon!! I LOVE this even more then before! I am pinning this and saving this for the future so I have the paint color. Thanks friend!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
What...no mirrored top?
ReplyDeleteMirror would be real hollywood glam, wouldn't it?
DeleteBut have to settle for the fitted glass already there!

Great work. I love the silver look but am a novice when it comes to refinishing furniture. Did you use the same pewter paint on the handles? Most blogs show chests painted with primer then sprayed with rustoleum metallic paint. This looks different. Do you use a primer or just finish with the poly on top? I'm curious to know your experience with durability and chipping when it comes to painting furniture.
DeleteThis is GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the metallic silver on her, third time a lady, she's a lucky girl!!!
thanks Sayuri!
Deleteeven the dresser is fed up of me and my paint brush now lol
XOX
absolutely beautiful! All 3 times! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Laurie!!!

Suzan, I have to admit this is my favorite. 3rd times the charm! She is just beautiful...love, love, love the pewter color. Wow! Makes me want to paint something in that color. :o)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cecilia
That little lady will be singing My Coat of Many Colors That My Mama Made For Me! We will have to rename her Dolly Parton. As usual you are right - love the final(?) color. I may have to steal that. I apologize in advance.
ReplyDeleteyour too funny-love the new look-love dee x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Scarecrow...I love this one most of all!!
ReplyDeleteSuzan, I think this is the best paint choice for this dresser. She is gorgeous! And you'd think John would be used to changes by now.
ReplyDeleteWhich of you gets this pretty lady to call their own?
Cindy
I think I'm going to have to sell it - I'm supposed to be clearing out the house lol
Deletethanks so much Cindy!!!

Suzan, I think this is the best paint choice for this dresser. She is gorgeous! And you'd think John would be used to changes by now.

Cindy
Is that a Picasso or a Garfunkle?
ReplyDeleteI liked them all. I loved the blue and white, but the last is really different!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing redo. I would never think to go silver, but it looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Very sexy! Just did a piece for a customer, by mixing a pewter gilding wax into soft wax and used as a glaze. Very restoration hardware. A little rustic with glam. Your piece looks very glam shabby chic. I can see it in a room with very modern pieces. Hope you were able to rest a little. :)

I saw the first pic and thought, "She already posted this one." Then I started scrolling and had to laugh! Love, love, love the pewter! I always wonder what a piece of furniture would look like painted several different ways and you've shown a whole gallery! Did you get to keep it??
ReplyDeleteLisa
i like the 1st one; i liked the 2nd one; but the 3rd one fits her perfectly!!!!!!!! she looks so "doris day/rock hudson-y"!!!!!! ya done good, girl!!! (no matter WHAT john says!!!!)
ReplyDeleteFound you over at the Winthrop Chronicles! Third time for this dresser was definitely a charm! Love the new glam look! You can find me over at www.livingbettertogether.com!
ReplyDeleteRebecca
You remind me of me painting a piece several times! I loved each one, but the last one- swoon! What a glamours look! Thanks for sharing how you painted this! What a lovely chest and funny story!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing! I would have been happy with once! Or twice.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The dresser is gorgeous!!! It looks like something I would see in a Designer Show-House. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteI love each version.
ReplyDeleteMy, why hasn't John already called the men in white coats? I can see why you want to keep it now, it's gorgeous and totally in your colour scheme. Have you tried to talk John into keeping that lady yet?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Beautiful job! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Nancy!!!
DeleteXXX
That dresser is gonna weigh a bit from all the paint. I'm loving it all glammed up!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Karen - I think John's a lucky man too LMHO !!!
DeleteKenny Rogers...wonderful song to be stuck in my head! And oh boy, you nailed it with this one, Suzan! It's a shame you have to sell her.
ReplyDeleteYup, still playing catch up on emails...
Debbie :)
Shoot!! Wrong guy...Lionel Ritchie...thanks Suzan! lol duh
DeleteIs this the shimmer or matte finish? I assume shimmer...
ReplyDeleteEverything you do is gorgeous, but OMG, this last transformation is jaw droppingly beautiful. (Along with the bright blue one you did with the gold accents.) I'm not usually a metallic person, but when you are the one creating it? My heart stops!
ReplyDeleteLove from your Vancouver Island Susan (who's still reading... I'm at June 2013, I'm going to be so lost when I get all caught up and will have to wait until you post each time...) P.S. I tried to make a profile and blog and have completely messed it up... I don't know if I'm no reply or not, because I don't think I have a blog yet!
I'm SO embarrassed. When I saw my comment printed, I just realized I stole the first word of my supposed 'blog' from you! It was completely unintentional.... It was to go along with 'just me' because that's how I always identify myself on the phone. You must think I'm terrible. I'm really sorry!
ReplyDeleteSo, is the last picture of the dresser Modern Masters Pewter ? Some of the pictures look dark and I'm wondering if the satin finish lighten it or is the matte color that light?
