Once, Twice, Three times a lady...............

Thanks for the times that you've given me
The memories are all in my mind

And now that we've come to the end of our rainbow
There's something I must say aloud

You're ONCE

TWICE

THREE times a lady

before,after,french provincial, metallic, pewter, color,

When we're together, the moments I cherish

before, after, french provincial, metallic, painted, pewter, silver

with every beat of my heart

dresser, before, after, silver, pewter, metallic, painted

To touch you
To hold paint you

before,after,dresser,french provincial, silver, pewter, metallic

To feel you, to need you

before, after, french provincial, metallic, silver, pewter,

There's nothing to keep us apart.......................

You hear that John?
I can't let this one go..............
John?
JOHN?
JOHN?

silver, metallic, pewter, french provincial, dresser, antique,

She will not be 4 times a lady
I can promise you that LOL

Paint:  Modern Masters - Metallic Paints - Pewter
Protection:  Polyurethane Water Base Satin ( not applied yet in photos )
And this is as true to the color as I can get it

Another new obsession in the making folks................

Sail on Silver Girl................sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine...................

There - just to torment you a little, you get 2 "stick-in-your-brain" all day songs -
Just cause I love ya!

( oh and if you need a friend - I'm sailing right behind )

Have a Marvelous Monday every one!

John says - What the hell is going on around here with that dresser?
John says - How many times have you changed this exactly?
Suzan says - Well she's once, twice.......................

  7. That is one lucky dresser. It went from obscurity to having it's own wardrobe montage like Julia Roberts in the shopping scene from Pretty Woman. I am totally digging this final outfit.

  9. I am in love with metallic paint and your 3x a lady is gorgeous!
Bridge Over Troubled Water is another great song to sing- the whole album for that matter. I never get tired of Lionel, but I saw him on TV this weekend and he's had a bit of work done. Wasn't horrible, just shocking.
What did you do inside her drawers?

  13. Yay! You have redeemed me, or at least redeemed the metallic paint on our fireplace surround. When I posted about it, I think I heard crickets on my blog!

LOVE the chest now. You're too cute, and I appreciate your visit and kind comments on my blog. Following you back!

    2. Great work. I love the silver look but am a novice when it comes to refinishing furniture. Did you use the same pewter paint on the handles? Most blogs show chests painted with primer then sprayed with rustoleum metallic paint. This looks different. Do you use a primer or just finish with the poly on top? I'm curious to know your experience with durability and chipping when it comes to painting furniture.

  36. Love it! Very sexy! Just did a piece for a customer, by mixing a pewter gilding wax into soft wax and used as a glaze. Very restoration hardware. A little rustic with glam. Your piece looks very glam shabby chic. I can see it in a room with very modern pieces. Hope you were able to rest a little. :)

  54. Everything you do is gorgeous, but OMG, this last transformation is jaw droppingly beautiful. (Along with the bright blue one you did with the gold accents.) I'm not usually a metallic person, but when you are the one creating it? My heart stops!
Love from your Vancouver Island Susan (who's still reading... I'm at June 2013, I'm going to be so lost when I get all caught up and will have to wait until you post each time...) P.S. I tried to make a profile and blog and have completely messed it up... I don't know if I'm no reply or not, because I don't think I have a blog yet!

  55. I'm SO embarrassed. When I saw my comment printed, I just realized I stole the first word of my supposed 'blog' from you! It was completely unintentional.... It was to go along with 'just me' because that's how I always identify myself on the phone. You must think I'm terrible. I'm really sorry!

  56. So, is the last picture of the dresser Modern Masters Pewter ? Some of the pictures look dark and I'm wondering if the satin finish lighten it or is the matte color that light?
