Painted Birdhouses !

Good morning everyone !

The weather's been glorious in Montreal - absolutely glorious - but we still can't plant flowers until the third week in May - that's the rule of thumb in these here parts.

So...............I added color to the garden with these dollar store birdhouses that I painted in vibrant colors !

Painted Bird Houses

And hung them from my vintage ladder/arbor

in front of my vintage door

They're a far cry from flowers.....................but they'll do.
At least for a few more weeks !

Have a wonderful day everyone
Much love,
A quiet me
( for a change )

  2. Very very beautiful. I like your bird houses. The colors are so pretty.
We can't plant flowers here in Gaspe until June.
We had a nice sunny weekend. Most of the snow has melted.
    Have a nice week. xo

  9. Oh Suzan, color that stays! I love these! :)))
When I first moved to Cleveland, it snowed on May 10th. This explains why one reason why I moved back to Florida. Doesn't explain why it took me 12 years to do it though.
I send you tons of color and joy for a grand and glorious week!

  14. I love these colourful birdhouses! They make a great decoration for the yard/garden until the flowers start blooming. Maybe I should buy a dozen and hang them all over the pergola. Naw. I think hubby would protest. (sound familiar?) LOL Fantastic weather here the past 3 days! It's 25 out there right now. I know it won't last but it sure feels great.

  28. COLOR!
I pinned a pic to my Somewhere Over the Rainbow board and put a pic on my desktop. I have one more thing to complete on my list before next week's graduation party. If I have time, I am going to buy some cute little birdhouses and paint them. Of course I will give you credit.

I love the mantel and totally understand the basket issue. Steve only gets to display his Surfer's Journal magazines in a basket because they have 1 gorgeous photo and are always pretty colors. He knows that he has to look at the back of the basket for Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair.

  33. These add a lot of color. I have not added any flowers yet either. I always wait until about the first week in June. There have just been so many cooler days and nights this year. I am going to be safe. I wanted to add a little birdhouse display in my shady area where it is mostly hostas and no color yet. This is brilliant. Thanks.
