I WANNA live there Wednesday # 143

Good morning !

We're back in Westmount, ( Montreal ) Quebec this morning - my old neighborhood because in Montreal it's hard to find a more perfect neighborhood ( am I biased?  probably a little ) close to all amenities - walking distance to everything - city living at it's absolute finest :)

This is a gorgeous - filled to the brim with details - townhouse built in 1890 - I can remember walking by these particular homes and wondering what they looked like inside - now I know!

Those ( original )  stone walls in the basement !!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that just a gorgeous turn of the century home?

Ok - I have to run out and pick up extra lotto tickets for this week - someone has to win !

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone - I'm still painting windows and probably will be for the rest of my life at the speed ( s.l.o.w. ) I'm going

Hugs,
Kiss-Kiss,

  1. Ok, I'm moving to Montreal--beautiful home, and that bathroom, oh my.
It will have to be summertime, do not like the snow and freezing temps.

  2. Droooool!!! Though I'm not a fan of the dark kitchen, I adore those wood doorways and window frames! They just don't make 'em like that anymore!!

  5. O.M.G. Really beautiful. But I would need a houseclearner daily for the dark kitchen and to keep the bathroom prestine. I find it funny that the upper deck access seems to be through the bathroom? Buy me a ticket it too, pls. They don't seem to have any winning one here. xo Patty

    1. Isn't it though?
I found that deck access a little strange also Patty - it was probably a bedroom at one point - they didn't have master baths so much back in the 1800's ?

  6. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I thought that rock wall (?) that led downstairs was quite interesting. Amazing inside, isn't it? xo Diana

  7. Where do I begin with this one? The woodtrim, the ceilings, the stonework? That huge kitchen? And the recessed lighting which gives it ambience? Buy a lotto ticket for me as well. ;)

  8. Hi Suzan, this is absolutely gorgeous! I have seen a few homes in Westmount but this one is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. I, too, love Montreal (I live in Laval now for almost 4 years) and I love it here! Like you said, everything is pretty much walking distance and I have all I need. I hope your Autumn is wonder filled, and my birthday is October 27th, and I have a special blog post lined up for that day. You are always welcome to my blog, anytime.

Getting back to this home...4 bedrooms and 3 baths and a powder room? Exquisite! I also love the stone facade and how they added the exposed stone on the interior, it gives it a beautiful, vintage and rustic look and feel. I also love the recess lighting throughout the house. Wow!

  10. I just read the comment about the deck access being off the bathroom. I bet the bathroom was originally an upstairs sleeping porch that they made into a bathroom and then attached the deck too......

  13. Those millions dollar homes are amazing. Thanks for sharing photos from Quebec. They don't build anything like that in Florida! :)

Due to a large amount of spam ( that I'm tired of going back to posts and deleting ) I'll be using comment moderation from now on !!!
Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
to try my damnedest !!!
