Some things just fall into your lap.........
I received an email a few weeks ago from a name that seemed familiar but that I just couldn't place............
It turned out to be a someone we had purchased a dresser from last year and had another piece she thought
I'd be interested in -
YES PLEASE
just a little dated - I can remember when that type of relief was in vogue big time though
but ooh la la I couldn't wait to get my hands on this piece
I've wanted to do a drop leaf table for a long time now - kept waiting to find one - but never, not for one moment, imagined one would just fall from the sky like this!!!
I have BIG plans for this sweetheart - isn't she just crying out for a little love?
Here's the last piece I bought from Kim - about a year and a half ago
and I promptly stole an idea from Annie Sloan ( in one of her books ) this is Annie's masterpiece
she's amazing right?
this was my version copying her tutorial from the book.
using old white - some dark wax - and clear wax to finish
I'm loving it all over again - and think I'll do this soon to another dresser - makes me think of Spring!
In the meantime I'll have a post up tomorrow on that flowery table - painted and reinvented.
Thanks so much for the feature!!!
