Thinking of summer.........................

On Craig's List  ( maybe filled to the brim with colorful flowers? )

I'd love these in the garden !

Not even sure what I'd do with this - but just love it !

Suzan says - I'd love to get that crib and pram for the garden
John says - WHAT?  FOR THE GARDEN?
John says - THERE'S NO WAY - ABSOLUTELY NO WAY - YOU'RE PUTTING THOSE IN THE BACK YARD - IT'LL LOOK LIKE A DAY CARE FOR GOD'S SAKES

Suzan says - Well there's these 2 elephant garden stools I'm in love with
John says - I hate 'em...............besides, you need Indian decor for them
Suzan says - THEY'RE FOR THE GARDEN - I DON'T NEED INDIAN DECOR FOR THEM AT ALL
Suzan says - You're really getting quite miserable you know..................

But he did agree to these - and I already know exactly where they're going

Aren't they fabulously weathered?

John says - We're just entering the first week of February - why are you looking for outdoor furniture?
Suzan says - I wasn't - I was looking for antique prams and cribs - and these just sort of found their way to me.
John says - Well there's nowhere to store them until summer - you've got the shed crammed to the roof
John says - There's too much in the back yard - and there's too much in the bloody house
John says - Why does every square inch have to have something in it?
Suzan says - Well I could put one of the chairs in the living room..................
John says - Sure - and why don't we just put a swing set in there while you're at it or better yet, a sand box ?
John says - We have an outdoor ladder in there anyway
( he's still going on about the ladder ? )

I sat on the first one and fell to the floor - like crashed to the floor

John says - Great deal you got there Goldilocks - laughing his head off

But it was a great deal - it's just missing a bolt - easy enough fix - and other than that these are the sturdiest folding chairs LOL ( really they are ) very solid ( as long as all the bolts are in )

Thinking of summer is the only way I know how to get through winter !

( And I still want those elephants )

Have a wonderful Monday everyone !
Summer's right around the corner - we just have to get through the end of Winter - and then Spring.............
Nothing to it really
I think I'll put up an outdoor umbrella in the living room just to see John's reaction!

Hugs -
Me

A Friday Chat ( about this & that )

I read the news today - oh boy .................................

WINTER = SNOWSTORMS = SNOW REMOVAL = VIOLENCE

source
Police in Massachusetts say a 61-year-old woman attacked her neighbor with a handheld snowblower during the winter storm on Tuesday, MyFoxBoston reports.
Barbara Davis, of Arlington, was arrested when authorities responding to reports of an assault in progress found her allegedly harming her 60-year-old neighbor. Police said the two women had a longstanding dispute.
Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan was not amused.
“Emotions may run high during a historic weather event like the blizzard we just endured, but that is no excuse for violence,” Ryan said, according to CBS Boston. “We are supposed to come together as a community during events like this, and I am very disappointed with these allegations.”
The victim, who police did not name, previously filed a restraining order against Davis. She was treated for minor injuries.
Davis was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, violation of a harassment protection order, and mayhem.

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire woman got a surprise at a Burger King drive-thru: a bag full of cash instead of food.
Janelle Jones says she discovered on the way home that the bag did not contain the sweet tea and junior spicy chicken sandwich that she had ordered Friday at the Rochester fast-food restaurant.
Foster's Daily Democrat ( http://bit.ly/1EEYFl9 ) reports that Jones called her husband and they decided to return the $2,631, which was a Burger King bank deposit.
Matthew Jones says the couple briefly considered keeping the money, which they certainly could have used. But he says he and his wife are Jehovah's Witnesses, and that "Jehovah sees everything."

TORONTO (Reuters) - A Canadian man who was denied part of a C$27 million jackpot because he missed the deadline to buy the ticket by seven seconds has lost his appeal to get the money.

The Supreme Court of Canada ruling on Thursday ended a seven-year legal battle by Joel Ifergan, an accountant, to claim his share of the prize.

Ifergan went to a local convenience store just before 9 p.m. on May 23, 2008, to purchase tickets for that night's "Lotto Super 7" drawing. The store clerk told him to hurry before the 9 p.m. deadline, according to a court summary.

While the clock on the lottery terminal read 8:59 p.m., only one of the two tickets was registered in time. The second ticket, the winning one, was printed and registered on the Loto-Quebec computer at seven seconds after 9 p.m., eligible for the following week's drawing.

The store clerk told Ifergan that only one ticket was registered in time and asked if he still wanted to buy the second ticket. Ifergan said he did, and paid for both.

After he was denied half of the lottery jackpot, which was awarded to another winner, Ifergan sued Loto-Quebec for the processing lag.

The case has been working its way through Canada's courts. The Supreme Court did not comment on the case.
