WHITE DRY BRUSHING...................

You know when you get to the bottom of the paint - I mean really at the bottom - scraping the barrel type of thing?
Well I usually find something to paint quick when I get to that point
Either by adding a bit of water to the tin to create a " wash "
Or dry brushing something......................

John says - WHY are you walking around with an empty tin of paint and a paint brush?
Suzan says - I have to find something to paint
John says - You sound like an addict - put the tin down - you can do it
Suzan says - No - I'll find something
John says - They say you have to admit you have a problem before you can be helped
Suzan says - I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM !!!

Anyway I found something !

My layered tables in the living room - the bottom one was white - the top piece was wood.................
I thought it looked ok for the winter...........but truth be told it always seemed a little " off "

John says - Wow - I like it ( sounding very surprised
John says - It looks very Slavic
Suzan says - What does that mean exactly?
John says - It's a style isn't it?
Suzan says - Do you mean Nordic?
John says - Same thing.......................

Slavic Shabby?
Here's how it looked before - sorry the photo was taken at night................

It fits the room better I think

and the teeny tiny bit that was left on the paint brush at the end of it all?

a new project was born...................

Now excuse me - I'm off to the dollar store to buy a whole slew of these !

Paint used :  ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT ™ - PURE WHITE

Have a wonderful Thursday one and all!
Much love,
Me

I WANNA live there # 117

Good morning everyone !

I was looking across the pond for this week's home - and discovered one that  SARAH RICHARDSON   had decorated - it's heavenly really...............

I've never entertained the idea of having an outsider come in and decorate my homes - but if I could afford it - at this point in my life - in this particular house - I'd BEG her to come help me out here !

She's the Queen of detail and design in my humble opinion.

Have some tissue ready - there's some drooling involved.

I'll be ordering her latest book - which has been on the Globe and Mail best seller list for many weeks now
( because one can never drool enough )

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone !

Me
