MULTI COLOR MONDAY #6

In a desperate effort to find color in a world ( my world ) that's filled to the brim with sensible neutrals - I'm dedicating one day a week to colorful vignettes that have caught my eye.

Color me Monday - have a seat !

What do you think?
PINK - TURQUOISE - YELLOW - ORANGE - GREEN AND RED?

He'll kill me -
He absolutely will...................why do I always seems to have a death wish?

Have a wonderful colorful kind of day -
We're supposed to have a warm week so I'm hoping the view from my window is a last hurrah -
AND I'm praying for you all that your outside does NOT look like this

Yes - it's snowing - do you understand why I'm a little obsessed with color right now???

Dear God - how depressing................and almost impossible to believe that this is on its way

  1. If things keep up like their going in Texas, we will have the pool out in a matter of weeks not months. We have had the warmest winter. Already had to turn on the A.C. one day.
I dread thinking about how hot the summer will be. So, I'd take a little of that white stuff. Starting next year we will have to make up all our snow days so I'd like one more hurrah this year but I'm sure it's not happening at this point.
I love your pops of color.

  2. Love the color, Suzan (even though my world is relatively drab by comparison)! Hang on, I think we're all turning a corner this week - ready or not (I debate it with myself, just like neutrals/color). Have a great week.

  3. Hmmm---instead of painting them, how about a snug sleeve over the backs---in colors or another pattern. Then when Christmas rolls around, you won't be battling turquoise and orange into a 'holiday' color scheme. Just a thought...there is something to be said for basic background..., but that doesn't mean you can't go nuts with accents and accessories that are easily changed!
And I'm an afficienado of slip covers on everything. Cool idea though...but not on your diningroom chairs

  4. Oh honey please don't paint those beautiful white chairs bold colours, maybe soft pastels, but I don't know if you wld be happy with them... Can I suggest something simpler like a slipcover for the seats in bright colours? You could probably make them up with fabric glue if you can't sew. I did this to spruce up my dining chairs when I needed colour with a previous set I painted. Give it a try unless you are absolutely certain. Especially with something that requires so much work? Though you are a wiz at painting! Love all the colourful pictures, so needing a touch now too. Can't wait for my red polka dotted kettle to arrive. xo Patty

  7. You have snow!! Yikes. Yes, you do need colour. lol Fun decorating ideas but the adirondack chairs are my favourite. We had a bit of wet snow this afternoon which is already melting to bare grass again. The temperatures are warming up here this week too. I wonder if we'll get a snowstorm before March is over. Have a super week!

  8. More beautifully colorful selections to jump start Monday! Lovely! Thank you, Suzan.
I love the new fabric on the painted white chairs. I think it is a big improvement! Why don't you think John will like them? I really love them!

  9. I absolutely love those chairs. I'm with you on the weather. We finally got some warm weather and the crocus are starting to peak out between the patches of snow! Spring is near.

  10. Color gives me energy and there's no such thing as too much so long as it's used well.

  11. Sunny and 80F today - just sat in a chair, sunned and read. I would curl up and hibernate if I looked out my window and saw all that snow. Love color in small doses.
