John says - What exactly is that thing you have hanging on the ladder?
Suzan says - Well if you need me to tell you................
Suzan says - It's a stag head
John says - I know what it is but it's horrible ! It's bad enough we have an outdoor ladder in the living room now you want to dangle animal heads off it?
Suzan says - It's fun - the little ones will love it !
John says - It's going to give the little one's nightmares
He obviously did NOT pay attention to Mary Poppins............I took her very seriously
In every job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap !
The job's a game
And every task you undertake
becomes a piece of cake
A lark ! A spree !
It's very clear to me
Just some leftover ribbon and a broken ornament
A broken ornament
A broken ornament
Justt some leftover ribbon and a broken ornament
Creates the most delightful deer !
John says - Well now it looks even more ridiculous
But it's staying - because I don't know any little ones that think Rudolph is ridiculous - he's the most famous reindeer of all :)
The Grinch will get used to it ................he always does !
Have a great one everybody

He's cute! Perfect for your decor, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rita !
DeleteFor one sick moment I considered buying enough of them to do the entire crew - prancer - dancer et al LOL !

Great minds think alike! I have that same deer head. I didn't know they had them at Target or I would have just gone there and saved the shipping!!! I found mine online. I have an old barn door I'm adding mine to and he's going to stay up all year long!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME job of recycling the broken ornie!!
ReplyDeleteJohn = Scrooge?!
Men ... they just don't get it!
ReplyDeleteLast night I hung a little banner of ornaments on the shelf in Steve's kitchen. I didn't tell hime and I'm waiting for his reaction.
It's perfect.! Although I think the Grinches in my house would take John's side. I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh you have more than 1 grinch LOL ???
DeleteThanks so much Debbie !

Suzan, Rudolph is great!
ReplyDeleteThe Grinch: The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me down there - on such short notice! Even if I wanted to go my schedule wouldn't allow it. 4:00, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one; 5:30, jazzercize; 6:30, dinner with me - I can't cancel that again; 7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing... I'm booked. Of course, if I bump the loathing to 9, I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip slowly into madness. But what would I wear?
lololol

ReplyDeleteAll you need to do now make that nose blink :}
I LOVE your Rudolph! :D
ReplyDeleteI made a burlap JOY banner today and when my husband came in he asked what it was. I said "it's a JOY banner". He said "don't we have enough stuff hanging up already?" Sometimes they just don't get it. lol
Looks great and makes perfect sense to me!
ReplyDeleteRudolph!!!! I love it!!!! That's just awesome Suzan!!!!
ReplyDeleteAre all the husbands the same all over the world? They just never get creative design
I get a raised eyebrow and a half laugh/half snort with a..."that's ridiculous"!
xx
OMG! That is too funny! Tell your husband to quit being a scrooge! Ha Ha. Your stag head looks great dressed like Rudolph!
ReplyDelete:-) so cute. The littles ones will love it!
ReplyDeleteCuteness! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove how you dressed up Rudoph! Haha. So cute. I noticed your new header which is very nice too.

I try to make sure I read my husband your blog posts because I look sane compared to you LMAO.
ReplyDeleteI think he is pretty danged cute myself! lol You are so clever, Julie Andrews--er---Suzan.
ReplyDeleteWhen Lulu was little we went to a friend's house that had a big deer head hanging on an outside wall. She asked where the rest of the deer was and I told her it was standing outside the house-(supposedly attached to the deer). She peeked out the window and said- Nana, you're crazy. That deer runned away so fast it lefted its head here. lol I about wet my pants laughing.
I love it!! Only you! :)
ReplyDeleteJane x
Too, too cute nose of the deer! If you want John to have a total fit do a forest with branches woven through the ladder. We all know how much he loves branches in the house. LOL
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie !

Well, first of all, love the deer. Second of all, no Target? When did that happen? I missed it. That's like a major international meltdown. I'd get rid of Wal-Mart before Target. When we get a new President in the U.S. we need to petition him to fix this problem.
ReplyDeleteSo creative! I love how you turned a plain stag into a adorable Rudoph! He is so cute! Pinning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea. Love it and it looks so perfect on the ladder.
ReplyDeleteBev
I believe in Mary Poppins as well, she's the base of my teaching method! And Rudolph is my favourite Christmas story. So tell John Rudolph is staying!
ReplyDeletePoor John so now he's the Grinch!!! Well, I guess if he's going to complain about your lovely reindeer then you have a right to call him that! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHe thinks it's the funniest thing Mary LOL !
DeleteHe IS a grinch - but he's my grinch :)
XOX
I love it and John will have to just learn to live with it. Ha!!
ReplyDeleteLove the rudolph Suzan! Did the little ones love it? Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks so much for partying @ Dream. Create. Inspire. Link! Take Care, Tara
