My Word!!! ( for 2013 )

Simple - Simply - ( as in Vintageous ) Simplify?
Anticipation?
Share?
Growth?
Inspired?
Dance?
Live?
Try?
Onward?
Enlightened?
Partake?
Remember?

all kinds of words kept leaping out at me, literally,  and so finally the word I chose is
LEAP

because it's what I plan to do this year - not as in leaping from tall buildings in a single bound - but as in jumping in to every single thing I do - ( gracefully - think of a ballerina or a gazelle lol - although I'm probably more like a kangaroo )
I don't know if I'll reach great heights - but If I keep jumping or springing into action - something has to come out of it, right?  Other than aches and pains from jumping all over the place?
And since this whole blogging journey started with one gigantic leap of faith, it seems fitting somehow

LEAP

[noun] a light springing movement upward or forward

It's a word I think I can look at everyday -

I had a plank of wood left over from the Christmas Pallet Trees we did - so put a quick coat of Annie Sloan Old White - and went to town with my stencils - these particular ones came from the dollar store - ( found them in my Christmas stocking this year !!! )

This one will sit in my bedroom for the year - and hopefully when I glance over it will inspire me to leap out of bed in the morning - instead of dragging myself from it .....................

Oh and because I'm a multi tasker, I thought my word should be too - so my word is a noun AND a verb
Verb
Jump or spring a long way, with great force

Look - Look - Up in the sky
Is it a bird?
Is it a plane?
Ugghhh no - It's Suzan from Simply Vintageous - it's ridiculous really but she chose the word leap as her inspiration this year.......................and she's been flying around in circles ever since.
Pretty annoying if you ask me

Be happy I didn't choose the word DIG
That's my word
And I'm sticking to it!

  1. Suzan,

You beat me to it! The comment box, that is. It must be because you are now a self-proclaimed leaper, as of 8 minutes ago!! Man, you are fast! Just finished reading your post and noticed a comment in my inbox! You literally leaped into two places at the same time! Girlfriend, you are empowered! Go for it: the world is your spring board!

  14. I get the impression that you couldn't be annoying if you tried - except maybe to John. Personally, I think he's faking it most of the time. After all, he wants you to have something to blog about, and I'm sure he would hate to feel left out! lol

It's amazing how the things that you share make me feel like I know you. It is because you share your sense of humor so freely, and it is so very endearing, as well as delightful.

I have fibromyalgia, and have to spend most of my time at home. I actually have a good life, but there are days that it gets a little old. Your column always makes me laugh. If I don't read any other blog on any given day, I still read yours. :) Thank you for all that you share. Laughter IS a valuable gift.

    1. Oh Michele I CAN be annoying - you can take that to the bank LOL.
I'm so sorry you're afflicted with such an awful disease - my Daughter has
fibromyalgia also.............I never heard of it before she was diagnosed with it. She's 30 and still able to control it for the most part but has very bad days as well.
Your words make me think I should have used " gift " for my word - because that's what all have you have been to me - truly a " gift " for my soul.
      Much love,
      Suzan
