Let's go - Chop! Chop!

A little Sunday Something Something.................

painted, knife block, stencil

just your average knife holder -
where you go when you need to

painted, annie sloan, pure white, stencil

or

painted, knife block, stencil

or

painted, knife block, stencil,

John says - Well that's it I suppose
Suzan says - What's "it " ?
John says - I think every last piece of wood has been painted now in the house

Suzan thinks to herself - " not everything John Wood - not everything.............

Here's a little sneak peak of what I did last night - and what I'll; hopefully be finished today!

This arrived yesterday afternoon

and before I went to bed it looked like this

I decided in the end to go with Paris Grey and Pure White ..................what do you think?

I want her to look " classy " ( as opposed to " sassy " )
And by the way the iron grills were a pain in the sass - because they can't be removed ( often they're removable which makes it much easier - but these are built into the doors - no way to remove them at all..............) She's once, twice, three times a lady ( you know I wouldn't leave you without tattooing a song
to your brain, right?

Ok - time to make a nice cup of tea.................put on some music............... and catch up on what you've all been doing

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone - hope you spend it doing what you love.

  16. The knife block looks great, and I never would have thought to do it (a million times better than a boring, traditional block).

I love the dresser. The Paris Grey and white are my favorite together.

  25. Love the knife block painted!! i may have to borrow that idea!! And what a transformation on the dresser!! Stunning!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I have been approached at Christmas time if I would do a House Tour to benefit our church because of my 19 Christmas trees but parking and amount of people in my little townhouse would really be a huge problem... I would love to do it as a fund raiser for our church though!!

    Hugs,
    Deb

  26. That's it, I'm painting my knife block and my family can't stop me. Or at least sand it and stain it darker.

    Is John's last name wood?

  27. This is the first time to your site, I saw your knife block on Funday Monday Link Party. It was genius. I don't know why of all the simple things to re-style that should have been one of the first! They are so boring. I love the way you did it. The dresser looks pretty awesome as well. I might just have to subscribe and see what you come up with next!

Stop by sometime and take a look at mypersonalaccent.com

  31. Great idea to paint the knife block!!! That dresser isssss stunning! Looks like a fun piece to paint. I think I would have a hard time not using the dark wax :) all those curves and carvings, perhaps a mix of both waxes...whatever you choose I know it will be stunning when complete. Have a good day tomorrow.

  33. I love the bureau, so pretty!!! Years ago I painted my knife block; I think it is a great idea. But I laughed, because I thought it had to be one of the last small unpainted items available and what must your husband be saying.

  34. I think what you did with the knife block is great. I may be stealing that idea for my new home. The dresser looks gorgeous. I love the color combination.
