I WANNA live there Wednesday # 73 Manhattan

WELCOME TO I WANNA LIVE THERE WEDNESDAY -
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SERIES ON REAL ESTATE FOR SALE - MOSTLY IN MY HOME TOWN OF MONTREAL - WITH LOTS OF VISITS HERE AND THERE TO SEE WHAT ELSE IS OUT THERE - SOMETIMES IN N.Y. OR NEW ORLEANS - OR PARIS - OR............ANYWHERE ACTUALLY!
I CONCENTRATE ( FOR THE MOST PART ) ON HERITAGE HOMES - HISTORICAL BUILDINGS WITH DETAILED ARCHITECTURE.
SINCE THIS IS A SERIES ON THE HOUSE ITSELF - AND NOT THE WAY PEOPLE FURNISH THEM - KINDLY KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN LEAVING COMMENTS -I WOULD NOT WANT A HOME OWNER TO COME ACROSS THEIR HOME ON MY BLOG AND READ UNKIND THINGS ABOUT IT ( I WAS ONCE CONTACTED WITH THANKS FOR SHOWCASING SOMEONE'S HOME - SO IT'S POSSIBLE )  IF YOU'RE INTO HOMES WITH A HISTORY THIS IS A SERIES YOU JUST MAY ENJOY - THANKS SO MUCH FOR VISITING THEM WITH ME

Good morning everyone !!!

Some folks like to get away
,
Take a holiday from the neighborhood.

Hop a flight to Miami Beach or to Hollywood.

But I'm takin' a Greyhound on the Hudson River line.

I'm in a New York state of mind.

And I figured if we were going to visit Manhattan - we may as well do it in a huge way - all or nothing -

Soooooooo - the first one up is listed at

8,250,000
5 floors
5 beds
5.5 baths
4500 sq. feet
Realtors LEIGHTON CANDLER & JENNIFER GARABEDIAN REARDON

( Well we're heading on up - to the East Side - to a deluxe apartment in the sky )

Now you all know I'm not a big wood lover - but OMG - I love every single thing about this mostly wood kitchen - isn't this spectacular?  the wood with the greenery from that amazing window?

LOVING that nook area off the bedroom - what a perfect place to curl up and contemplate the next movie I'll pick to star in..................

Ok - so now that I know people live like this I completely give up on my bathroom reno -

I'd have to convert half of the main floor to achieve this look - but living rooms are soooo overrated, don't you think?

Give me this kitchen and this bathroom and I'd very happily sleep in the mudroom

Ok - time to hop in a cab - we're heading out to the Upper West side now...............

7,995,000
Co-op
3 beds
4 baths
2 staff rooms - 1 staff bath
Realtor: BRIAN RICE & DOUGLAS ALBERT

LOVE the built in

Sweet dreams are made of this ( who am I to disagree? )

Should we visit one more?
We're in the neighborhood anyway - we might as well don't you think?
C'mon - lets go................ya know you waaant to

Listing price 7,399,000
5 floors
6 beds
4 baths
6,280 sq feet
Realtor:  KAREN KELLY & STEPHEN LARKIN

AND THE ICING ON THE TOP OF THIS CAKE???

The ROOF DECK

Ok - I have to tear myself away from this now - I have some serious work waiting for me here at the

My daughter posted this on my facebook page - besides being one of my all time favorite comedies - I actually get to live it - how special is that?
Life imitating art and all !

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone -

  1. If I had 8 mil laying around I would definitely be scoping out the first and third homes. Love the charm of both.

  2. I'd have to fight Suzan O over those same homes. Wow, they are gorgeous. I love the patios at both. I can't imagine such luxury. Well, I can imagine it but can't imagine me 'living' in it.

  3. I'd want to live in the East Side Deluxe Apartment in the Sky...It's amazing. I love the sitting room off the Bedroom, too! Have a great day!

  4. As much as I'd like the townhouse, I'd go for the first one. That roof deck is spectacular! One question before I send in my down payment -- does it have a doorman???

  5. House One: the amount of plant life they have on a deck is impressive! My backyard, that is actually sitting on DIRT, is not that lush.

  7. Dear Suzan. At least I`m able to visit blogs again, after my PC crashed. Then I looked at your post under here. Wow, I`m in love too, with your shutters. That looks so great and I had a good laugh too. You are my hero lol.

    Big hug from me

  8. Wow all are so gorgeous. That first one though with that gorgeous kitchen and that bathroom woooooza! Love that. I could live in the bathroom and be very happy there. LOL! The first one also to have that much outdoor space in New York is amazing too. Beautiful.

  11. So after writing my post yesterday, I woke up singing "I tiger is a tiger, not a lamb, mein Herr", but I bet now I'll go to bed tonight singing "I'm in a New York State of mind". I love the first one best of all. You're going to convince me I need to go live in New York with these posts!

Due to a large amount of spam ( that I'm tired of going back to posts and deleting ) I'll be using comment moderation from now on !!!
Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
to try my damnedest !!!
