THINK PINK ( a princess dresser )

Once upon a time.......................
I found this on Craig's list

and saw such amazing potential - we got it home and I quickly turned it into this

using ( my almost signature color at this point ) a mix of ASCP Duck Egg Blue and Old White - and the drawers in Pure White - ( sorry the photo doesn't show the handles )
and then I waited
and I waited
and I waited some more
until it became quite obvious that no one else loved it as much as I did and she definitely was not going to the ball

so last night I did a quick transformation - and I really am hoping someone loves it as much as I do - because I have to get rid of this baby!  Is it fit for a princess do you think?

and hoping this once upon a time quickly turns into a

Party Time!!!

  1. Very princessy - the top molding even resembles a crown....But, then I am seeing pink and crowns everywhere after just finishing a very pink princess room for my granddaughter.... She would love this piece....

  2. That is much better in pink! (So glad you found it!) Someone will snatch that up for a little girls room in no time flat! You have made some little princess happy and you don't even know it yet!

  3. Bet it sells fast! Love the story of the pink paint disappearance mystery. So glad you found it because this dresser is absolutely gorgeous! Hmmmm.... maybe it wanted to stay at your home so "it" hid the paint can? Dresser anxiety? You never know.

  4. I think I like the pink better on this piece for sure.

  5. looks fabulous in pink great job glad the pink turned up lol

  6. Although I'm not a pinky person, I love the hardware and it is perfect for a little girl's room. I imagine that it will sell before you can say "Da ghost made me do it!"

  7. Love it. But then I loved it in Duck Egg too. Someone will pick it up for sure.

  8. Hi Suzan!!

I love this pink dresser. I wish I lived closer because I would buy it. As you know I love PINK!!!!

I know some little girl will love this dresser in her room!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

  9. What a beautiful piece! I love the color.:)

  10. This is going to be beautiful in a little princess's room! I do love that pink, Suzan! :)

    xoxo laurie

  11. Fingers are crossed that she moves out for you this time! ~ Maureen

  12. the owner of the store where I consign my furniture says women are always shopping for little girls' rooms, so this gorgeous piece will certainly find a taker! (She said they never shop for boys' rooms, and I said it's because boys could care less and they bang onto everything, so no sense investing in something nice, lol!)

  13. Definitely princess material. Great makeover.

  14. What beautiful details you put into this dresser, Suzan--I love the hardware in particular. And Think Pink--one of my favorite entertainers is Kay Thompson!

  15. WOW! What a stunnig transformation! It looks very beautiful :) Have a lovely day!

  16. How pretty, I just love those old dressers they have so much character.

  17. I hope the pink princess finds a new home, but I was partial to the blue. I think the above comments are right girls' furniture sells quicker than boys'.

  18. Seriously gorgeous. I love all the details. Thanks for sharing at DIYbyDesign.

  19. I had a dresser like that once...had to throw it out due to extensive water damage. Yours turned out great! Thanks for linking with me :)

  20. Another beautiful save Suzy! You make me want to get out my paint and attack that other end table staring at me as I type! Thanks so much for sharing this at the party this week! I'm sharing her on my Facebook page too :-)

  21. Oh if I was your way I would want it, the pink is gorgeous!

  22. Oh she's darling! There's a little girl (or big girl) out there ready to fall in love with her!

  23. Beautiful - much nicer in Pink. Wish I had a little girl to give it to! Joining from Shine on Fridays -

  24. Definitely Princess material! Looks great. Thank you for sharing at Rustic Restorations Weekend!

  25. Suzy, what little (or big) Princess wouldn't love it? I think it will have a big fat, SOLD sign on it soon. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.

  26. That's an amazing and beautiful transformation! I'm quite impressed because I know that I would have walked right by the original wood version without another thought.

I wanted to invite you to share your amazing project at my blog, Confetti Diaries, link party this week. I know my readers would love seeing such great inspiration. Hope you'll join us!
