I WANNA live there Wednesday # 115

Sometimes - in the midst of gutting out a home - it helps to see what others have done.

When I came across this house at This Old House - I was completely blown away - but sadly it didn't help at all because now I want to sell the one we bought and find one like this instead LOL

Wait till you see what vision can do !

It can create this

from this

You can read all about it by following the link  This Old House - what an amazing journey

I most definitely WANNA live there !

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone

Me

  2. What a great old house, Suzan. I love a French mansard. I think people either love them or hate them. One of my friends and my ex-sil absolutely HATE them. lol To each their own.
They did a phenomenal job on this place.
Guess what? When you are done with your project there it is going to be just as worthy of I Wanna Live There attention! xo Diana

  8. Gives us much hope, doesn't it? We can do it too (especially since my whole house can probably fit in that gorgeous dining-room)!

  9. Beautiful home, so happy to see they rescued it and brought it back to life. The same applies here and your house too. 2 crazy ladies with a vision 😀 but then reality slaps us and we have WTH moments. xo Patty

  11. I'm finding I want every house except the one I have. This has sent me in a spiral downward. Don't know if it's all the snow and ice but I dream of starting over. If it were Spring, a for sale sign would be going up I think!

  12. This a a great example of restoration. It appears they tried to keep the original footprint of the house. The entry hall is my favorite with the glorious door. However, a sour note with the bath. Looks like a box store vanity.

Due to a large amount of spam ( that I'm tired of going back to posts and deleting ) I'll be using comment moderation from now on !!!
Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
to try my damnedest !!!
