And now -
For what I got myself - O.M.G. - you're going to love this - I just know it !!!
A galvanized basin - with rope handles - and those words? They're cut outs and are on both sides of the basin - is it a beauty or what?
John says - Oh c'mon now - you don't need that
Suzan says - Yes I do - I absolutely NEED to have it
John says - What for?
Suzan says - ( frantically trying to come up with something ) I'll line it with plastic and use it as an ice bin for drinks outside for the shower
John says - AND THEN WHAT? THE SHOWER IS ONLY FOR ONE DAY
But I'll think of something - oh I'll definitely think of something
When we finally redo the bathroom downstairs - I'll fill it with white fluffy towels ( or something - I'll figure it out )
and I really NEEDED to buy this too - to put drinks on
It would appear I've been galvanized !

OOOhh, that would be wonderful with rolled up towels in it. I have a big apple? basket with rolled up towels in my bathroom, but that is nicer!
ReplyDeleteYou have been Galvanized…lol, I have no less than five buckets that shape in various materials----and if I had seen that one it would be six. Perhaps it is that laundry basket shape, a pull-back memory to playing in Mom's freshly stacked laundry, or crawling into your first--private house. And your shower gifts are great!

You are right! I do love your new galvanized wares! I'm looking forward to seeing how you use them in your home. Please tell me that they both came from Ikea so I can wrangle my husband into the Ikea store that is about 20 miles from our house. Galvanization must be a disorder that afflicts the design addicts among us--I just love galvanized buckets, trays, and containers of any kind. When rope or jute get involved, then I am a goner. Plus, they can look beach-y, farmhouse-y, and French-y (especially if they are those lovely tall flower market or olive buckets!)--the stuff is all-around versatile! Your shower gifts are both lovely and practical--the guests will be lucky to win any of them. Hope you and your daughter have a wonderful time on Saturday!
