I keep thinking I'm going to run out of these homes one day - but every now and then I find one that leaves me completely mesmerized and daydreaming what I could do with them - this is one of those ..............
Again, in Westmount
And if this is your first time here please note that if the prices seem high - this is a beautiful area in Montreal - adjacent to Down Town - most of the homes are turn of the century - and usually filled to the brim with architectural details. ( and I'm just a little partial to it since we sold our Victorian " flat " in that area last year and I'm still missing it )
These are not home tours - so if they are not decorated to your taste that's fine - they're homes that are listed for sell.
1 half bath
Year built - 1914
REALTOR - JOSEPH MONTANARO
See that top balcony? I LOVE it !
Talk about a grand entrance - isn't this spectacular ?
I almost can't take in the beauty of this room - big gorgeous chandeliers and it's done !
This reminds me of a Manhattan prewar apartment
Oh what I could do to this kitchen - love the stairs !
Maybe add some ceiling beams ?
Not sure why there's 2 bathrooms off this room - but I'm thinking one is for the toilet - and one for bathing
This next photo?
This is the type of thing that I adore about these houses - makes me crazy with " want "
Extra lottery tickets are in order this week I think !
I'm absolutely in love with this gem - and to be honest with you - for the location - this is positively a steal!
Have a wonderful day everyone !

Those floors are to die for!! I'm drooling, too!ReplyDelete
Oh, Yes. I could live there very easily. It is absolutely Gorgeous and love all the wood flooring and dark woodworking. With all them windows, sure to get plenty of light coming in.ReplyDelete
Even tho I'm a shower person, I love that claw tub.

HOLY COW...do people really live this way....??? Such a mansion...so beautiful...thanks for sharing the photos.ReplyDelete
beautiful home - I love all of the curves on the window walls.ReplyDelete
Love those wood floors,it is a beautiful place, i'm thinking i only need three bedrooms,so maybe i could rent the other two out, there has to be a way.ReplyDelete
Aren't those floors over the top amazing ?Delete
Maybe you could rent out the basement - there's a separate entrance after all LOL
Could you even imagine such a beautiful home!? It is amazing. Thank you for brining us along on the tour at THT.ReplyDelete
Yes I can actually Pamela - every single time we buy lottery tickets in fact LOLDelete
Thanks for having me
What a gorgeous home! They just do not make them like that today. The windows alone won me over! Wishing you good luck with the lotto--Make it a great day!!ReplyDelete
No, they don't make them like that today at all - the details on the floors !!!Delete
I'll let you know how the lottery thing works out for me LOL
*for SALE The little blue radiator! The house has quite the neutral colors. Imagine what it would look like with splashes of color. It's gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Oh my stars, what a home, it's breath taking. I'd love to live in that but not have to keep it clean. Guess anybody that can afford it can afford a maid/house cleaner or both? Those floors are to die for, gorgeous. The kitchen is great but those old appliances? Love all those built in's. Would have to buy dishes to fill them. That house looks like it belongs in London or someplace like that. Hope your holidays were spectacular. Happy NEw YearReplyDelete
Maybe you could have staff like Downton Abbey LOL !!!Delete
Happy New Year to you too !!!
I love all the details that make this house special! The windows! The floors!ReplyDelete
Those floors have me drooling here LOLDelete
Wow! I think I could live there (if it were somewhere warm)!ReplyDelete
What a beauty!!ReplyDelete
Wow, oh wow! I've never seen floors that gorgeous. Even with all the wood, it doesn't look dark and overwhelming. Let's all go in together and buy it...a kind of blogger's retreat, lol.ReplyDelete
Oh, yes. I'm ready to move in. The floors, the windows, the ceiling beams, the lighting. I'd have to repaint the bathroom, though. It is gorgeous. I saw your link at Inspire Me Monday. Ann Marie @ Iris Abbey www.irisabbey.comReplyDelete
