Property Details
Own a Piece of History.. The Ringling Mansion! A total of 4 parcels including the main home with over 6000 sq ft, a vacant lot, a 2 bdrm Cottage and the Carriage house with living quarters. The mansion boasts leaded glass windows, solid wood flrs and trim, large kitchen, butler pantry, 6 bdrms, a grand foyer and stairway, living rm, music rm, library with solid wood built ins. This property would be an incredible B & B, reception facility or museum. The possibilities are endless.
I love this wide hallway ( you could have a party in this space alone ) the details on the baluster's and those beams
( John loves the Grandfather clock )
Check out that built in with the arched window !
I'd have to paint all the millwork white -
John and I argued over that ( if we don't find anything to argue about in our reality - sometimes we'll resort to fantasy )
This plaster ceiling looks just the ones in our last house!
Fireplace heaven !
Loving how sunlight floods this home !
Upstairs landing
I agree with the realtor - this would make an incredible B & B - it should be enjoyed by as many people as possible, don't you think?
Again Cheryl - thanks so much for sharing the link to this beauty !
Have a wonderful day all

That house is gorgeous! I could live there too (if I had a maid to clean it).
ReplyDeleteWOW! Absolutely Gorgeous. Love the pool table area.
ReplyDeleteOOPS! Someone left the toilet seat up :}
Yes, it is beautiful. And couldn't the real estate agent remember to put the toilet seat down???!!! LOL But remember, it's still in Wisconsin, although at least one zone warmer than we are.
ReplyDeleteIf (when) they make this into a B&B I am definitely going to stay there (and naturally pretend it's my house).
ReplyDeleteThere are more Ringling mansions in Baraboo, built by the brothers. One of them was converted into a hospital for a spell and I was born in it.
What a fabulous palette for the right person! So much potential. Where are all the clawfoot tubs? I would have a very difficult time painting all the wood! I love how wide and open all the hallways are and would have a blast decorating that place. B@B..perfect, but I would want to keep it to myself...ha.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think there would be claw foot tubs !
DeleteI'd love to decorate it - just decorate it because it's far too big to live in xoxoxo
They don't build them like the use to - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteStupid curiousity - why do all the bathroom photos have the toilet seats up?
Because all the ghosts are men!
DeleteI'm laughing my head off here !
DeleteXOXO
Beautiful! Perfect for a B&B. Thank you for the tour...it was nice to dream while sitting inside this little office....:) Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa - you have a great weekend !
DeleteXOXOXO
Look at all of that room!!! If there's no lead paint or mold (common in northern houses that are older), and the pipes are new (insulated well so they don't freeze) I'd love to own it!
ReplyDeleteI think it is beautiful. I couldn't buy it because I'd want to paint the millwork too but it would be such a shame to paint that beautiful wood. It's better to let someone who would appreciate all that stained wood have it. Don't you think? Where is this house?
ReplyDeleteCheck out the Ringling Mansion in Sarasota, Florida built by his brother John. Quite a different piece of architecture! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes! I want! I especially like the delicate mural in the green, was it the, foyer? Gorgeous! I would leave the woodwork as is, according to the period in which is was built. Thank you and Cheryl for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis all works into the master plan--the hens all pitch in and buy it and run it together. Cheryl can, too. Then we also buy a little shop where we sell stuff like painted furniture and gifts. Eventually, we take over the entire Midwest.
ReplyDeleteWe take over the entire Mid West - she is too funny for words LOL
DeleteI was wondering about the toilet seats as well, but I read the clever answer in your comments... Other than that, I definitely wanna live there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home. I love, love that porch! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I would love to see the outside grounds too. Great home. The wood details are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWe need to create home tour of some of these homes. And their ghosts too!
Wouldn't that be amazing - to make an actual tour of these amazing homes ?
DeleteI could do without the ghosts though LOL
xoxo
Now that is just fabulous! I can't wait to spend a night there and drink a little wine with Cheryl!
