Court yard - this has amazing potential !
I really feel like posting another one - but I'm afraid it'll be overkill - so I think we may just be returning to New Orleans again next week !

I love New Orleans, but I don't think I would want to live in the French Quarter. There would always be so many tourists peeking into the house and/or garden.
ReplyDeleteBut, if anyone gave me a house in the French Quarter, I would jump at it!
Thank you for sharing these homes. New Orleans is one of my top five favorite cities, and I'd LOVE to have a gorgeous French Quarter home there!
ReplyDeleteI really like the exposed brick in the first one. Second one feels a little dark to me...
ReplyDeleteOh Suzan what magnificent homes!! Wowzers! What fun to live there! Thank you!

I really love the transoms above the windows and doors in both houses... I wanted transoms above my bedroom and office door... But after checking with Budget, that won't be possible !
ReplyDeleteCall me if you get one of those places so I can come visit, okay? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful both of these. I am only about a million short to buy one sigh..... Ahhhh love those floors in the second one. Oh la la they are so full of character.

We're only 2 and a half hours away from NO, so we go over quite a bit. I like to try to see in the windows of some of these homes, but it's difficult since they are so hidden away. Glad to see your photos of the interiors. Be-Utiful.
ReplyDeleteIve seen so many great homes in NOLA . Great to see inside these. When we were in the French Quarter we were lucky to get a peek inside a old building being rebuilt. Lovely details.
ReplyDeleteI want to have a party in one of these - with Jazz music playing in the background and wine glasses clinking and lots of laughter - that's how much I love them - I've envisioned an entire evening LOL !!!

Oh, with your lotto winnings please buy me the first one and I'll pay you back someday. Really, at first I thought I would want to just die with my arms around the sub-zero or whatever it is, then changed my mind to just live in the tub/shower area. Only thing that bothered me was what were they thinking with the cheap coverlets on the bed? Have they not heard of staging?
ReplyDeleteHi Suzan!!!
ReplyDeleteLove how they show some of the old walls, beams and fireplaces, like that little one in the corner by the the door in the guest house...So very cute!!! I love San Diego and that's where I want to buy a place, but, just have to find some money Baaahahahaha!!!
Have a great weekend!!!

We'll pack our bags today :) We LOVE New Orleans....the city is grand and the architecture is DEVINE!!! Thanks for sharing that....we needed that today as well ~ more snow and kids are once again home from school lol! Also wanted to say that we loved your fireplace story as well....got some good laughs out of that one ~ AND we are so glad that it worked so he couldn't say "I told you so!!"

Wow, I loved the tour. These homes are truly beautiful and gracious. I love all the intricate iron work and architectural elements. My favorite is the one with all the open floor to ceiling doors.
