Good morning everyone !
I can't stay away from Manhattan for too long and it would appear to have been quite a few months since I last showcased one of these beauties - so here goes !
122 E 95th St
5 beds - 6 baths
4160 feet
Built in 1899
8,750,000
Realtor ZILLOW - SERENA BOARDMAN
A Roof Top Terrace !
Now I know Manhattan is not for everyone - it's crowded and noisy and suffocating in the summers - you're extremely lucky if you have any outdoor space with your property at all - but it's for me - I'd pack up and move there tomorrow.
If I could just win 8,750.000
We'll have Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island too
It's lovely going through the zoo
It's very fancy on old Delancey street you know?
The subway charms us so when balmy breezes blow to and fro....................
Take it away Miss Ella !!!
Have a wonderful " hump " day everyone !
I'm off to buy a lottery ticket
Hugs

Truly lovely home and area. Was a little disappointed in the patio. Thought surely it would be spectacular for that much money. There was a movie called Crossing Delancey that was real good. Must've been before the urban renewal!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous house but I think I'd be suffocating all year around living there. I wonder what they did with all the snow from last weekend's storm on that patio and in the back yard and the front area where you have to go downstairs to the entrance. What would one do with it?? At least it doesn't snow that much more than once every 100 years. Haha. I wonder if the basement leaks. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love Ella Fitzgerald! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteCouldn't do it....even if I could afford it. I am just not a city girl. I also could thing of other stuff I could get for 8 mil:):)
ReplyDeleteThe blue tile in the bathroom was luscious! I love the facade, too, and the houses next to it. The windows are to die for! We had some friends who had a row house in Baltimore. It was a little rough, but it was a fun house.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever won the lottery (which I never will because I don't buy tickets) I would buy an apartment in all my favorite cities and just traveled around to them. I'd buy one in Montreal too (even though I've never been there) just so we could visit.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, you can pick out all my houses!
Fun to see, no I couldn't live in such a busy place. But, boy do I ever love that roof top terrace! And what is that fabulous wall in the entry? Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Nope, not for me. I need lots of space around me and that dinky little patio just ain't going to cut it. I guess I'm not much of a city girl. Fun to visit but don't wanna live there. (But it's ok if you do!) :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cecilia
Wow! ONLY $8+mil!! What a bargain for such a lovely place in Manhattan no less!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting the vapors, Lucy!
I'll ask Fred to buy it for us!
Hugs,
Ethel
Fred's too cheap, remember?
DeleteWe have to come up with a plan on our own Ethel !
xox
That's right Lucy, I was being sarcastic! Now, since you are the BRAINS of the outfit, I want you to put your thinking cap, er colander, on and get cracking and whip up a scheme and then coax and cajole me into going along, cuz I'm Ethel. Right? So I'll be waiting for your scheme, and you already played your "When we win the lottery card", so you have to come up with a scheme that will work, Lucy! Maybe you can employ, or should I say involve, Ricky's band! Ha!
DeleteLove ya!
Wow, what a beautiful place and I love city life too so I think this would suit me as well.... now, about that money
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
Wow... that's a lotta money!! I do like most of it, but I gotta say, I sure hope that's not the master bathroom. For over 8 million, I'd be wanting a luxury bathroom, that's for sure. Thanks so much for sharing this, it's fun to see how other people live... hahaha, (very different from me... in our 100 year old Midwest home, and our Maine coast cottage...)
ReplyDeleteHow do you always find these superb houses?!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to Manhattan I think I'd rather visit and stay in a hotel as I'd not be able to afford the kind of place I'd like to live in there.
ReplyDeleteHoly moley that is a fabulous place - whew - not much I'd change, except the blue tile in the bathroom - not me at all......it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous house. Love it. Solstice
