WELCOME ! A little makeover !


If you saw Sunday's post you know that I had some fun Garage Sale shopping - this little child's stool
( that no child can sit in or they'll go crashing to the ground ) was only 2.00


Just the perfect size to make into a stand - for magazines..............towels or a couple of plants on the front porch !

I gave it a quick coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - Graphite


And then I wanted to add a welcome sign I had - but it was just a little too wide ( I also painted this )


So I added a piece of fence plank that I painted graphite as well -


and attached the " Welcome " sign to it


and then attached the whole piece to the back of the chair


Right now it's in one of the guest rooms - a perfect little spot to put a purse - or some magazines/books



But eventually it'l go in the front - as a plant stand.

For 2.00 it's a great little way to say Welcome, isn't it?

Have a wonderful day everyone.............the plumber will be here to fix a pipe in the mud room so work in there is at a stand still for the day.

    What a wonderful make over on that cute chair. That is going to look awesome out in your yard and will make for a great plant stand. Nice touch on the Welcome sign.

    That's so cute! Great idea for a stand. I use one of the little seats similar vintage as this for a plant stand on the deck. However, I spray painted it and its really pealing now. I need to invest in some good paint for outdoor use seeing as we get SO much rain here!! Hope the sun is starting to shine there.

    Great job on the child's chair. I think it will look great on the front porch welcoming guests are they arrive. Hope you get the plumbing working so you can finish the mud room - I know that it is driving you crazy as you like to gt your project completed.
