It's a mansion - 23 rooms - but it's the "homiest" mansion I've ever seen ( well that I've ever seen pictures of anyway lol ) you can just see the love that was put into decorating this space - every single corner of it and it looks lived in - this home is spectacular - Victorian living at it's absolute finest!
9 million dollars of dreams come true.
If you don't like music turn your speakers off - there's an overture playing in the background - it's fitting and I kind of like it but I know some people find audio annoying

This is still Westmount - but up on what is called " the summit " it's the highest point in this city.
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullabye
I'm off to dream now because Judy told me that the dreams that I dare to dream really do come true and I really do WANNA live in that 1st house!!!

Pretty amazing potential there! Love all the details. Wouldn't it be fun to see whatever the new buyer does with it?
ReplyDeleteStacy
Wow. Love that house. 1.5 million seems like a lot for it though.
ReplyDeleteOH. MY. LAWD.
ReplyDeleteSo, if I plunk down 9.5 million, I would be your neighbor, right?
TOTALLY worth every penny!!!
LOVE it. And a mere 1.5 million? Pocket change! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm moving in - as soon as I save up my allowance.
I always love a peek into other homes. The second one is truly stunning. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzan: Beautiful homes. I watched the video and loved that kitchen especially, but I'm afraid 'that' Judy was wrong as far as 'this' Judy knows. At 9 mil, never going to happen. Maybe I could afford that urn on the mantel in the library. Probably not either..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteI like the first house better, more my style, although I would kill for that kitchen in the second house. The second house main floor was way to formal for me, reminded me a of a funeral home lol, but I loved the views and the gardens. I love all the little nooks in the rooms in the first house, great spots for window seats. Oh to have that kind of money ......... thanks for letting me drift away for a while. hugs Tobey
ReplyDeleteAmazing potential... I love daydreaming on houses wondering what I would do with each room.
ReplyDeleteHi Magali - I love doing that too!
DeleteThanks so much for coming by - you're a no reply blogger btw.
:)
Loved everything about the first house except whatever it was that they did to the master suite. Ick! As for the second house, I was amused that they referred to it in the real estate listing as a "cottage"!
ReplyDeleteYep! I could live there. But not for that price! WOW! I guess I'm just used to what seems to be the crazy cheap prices here. For that price you could own a mansion.
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love that first house. I could live there for sure. Now for a cool 9.5 mil I could own the other one? Really? I wonder if there is any flexibility on that price?;>)) I think I spotted a Charlie Brown doll on the top shelf in the bedroom with the striped coverlet. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWhile I love the Victorian style of the first house, I hate what they did with the bathrooms. Way too modern for the character of the house. Complete miss in my opinion. And they probably spent lots of money.
ReplyDeleteAlso the white rooms with the beautiful ornate crown mouldings should be painted as to contrast and emphasize those mouldings. They must be featured. And I would so paint the wood in the family room. Not a fan. I love the backyard though.
As for the 2nd house, it is absolutely gorgeous. Except the furniture has to go, teehee! (There's no accounting for taste. I'm being quite bitchy this morning, lol!)
Ok, I went back and took the virtual tour this time. Love the sweeping views of the city and the peaceful garden. I could do that. Would they take a $8,5 million cut? No? Didn't think so.
ReplyDeleteOMG Suzy this is incredible! Not at all like houses here in australia. so much space. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletecheers Fiona
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThe second house is very homey! I think what makes it that way are the colours. I know white is the thing right now but for my taste it's too stark. It makes me sad that a home like this one has to be sold. Being the nosey person that I am I'd like to know why they are selling. Please don't tell me they're moving into something bigger. :-)
Thanks for the tour,
Cathy
it's 23 rooms Cathy - I hope they aren't looking for something bigger either lol - don't think they find it in Montreal anyway.
