BEFORE & AFTER PAINTED ARMOIRE

Annie Sloan chalk paint pure white

I couldn't budge this even 2 inches to get a decent photo................but here she is finished
( shadows and all )
My Son and SIL brought it in - I painted it exactly where they put it - and they took it back
( and brought 2 more pieces to be done while they were at it )

The family I painted these pieces for wanted to refresh their daughters former bedrooms - so that the grandchildren could sleep in the same rooms when visiting - with the same furniture as their Mom's had - just updated a little !

I distressed all of the molding to make it look like an old country armoire

ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT

and now on to the dresser and end table :)

Life is usually crazy busy around here - but between trying to get ahead with house reno's and outdoor work and furniture - well -  these last few weeks have been a little more so - sorry for posting and running but here's me signing off rather abruptly because I have a line I have to cross

Have a wonderful day everyone !

  1. Painted, that piece is so much better. I kind of hesitated at the little dresser and mirror though... they are so incredibility cute and country looking and can't imagine them any better --but, looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

  2. Beautiful! How neat that the grandparents are using their daughter's old furniture for their grands now. Love it...:) Have a happy day!

  3. It looks so much better painted. I know I say that a lot but it's true! I know the feeling of trying to reach a finish line and feeling like I'm in slow motion. Yikes! Try not to overdo, k? I hope you're getting some sunny weather and time to enjoy your pool some.

  4. You did such a great job! Have you ever tried to make your own chalk paint? I tried it this past weekend and loved the results! I love finding any way to save on DIY's!

  5. It's gorgeous Suzan. It turned out beautifully and so much nicer than the orangey pine.

  6. You definitely worked your magic on this piece - a beautiful design.

  7. I was wondering if I might ask a question and get your professional opinion. Since you deal with the ASCP all the time, do you feel it would be durable enough to use on kitchen cabinets? And if so what would the process be?

  10. Way to go, Suzan. Such a difference. I am loving pure white on furniture these days. So fresh. Are you using the same for the dresser?
