PAINTED TERRACOTTA PLANTERS

I painted a few terracotta pots ..................but the above one freaked me out a little

John says - what's that supposed to be ?
Suzan says - it's a fleurs de lys stencil I had
John says - it looks like FU -
Suzan interrupts - DON'T SAY IT

I found some other stencils ( from my Michael's pack ) and just used a sharpie to stencil them on
2 of them were already painted blue ( I like the contrast )

John says - The 2 smaller ones are ok - but that fleur de lys looks like a FU-
Suzan interrupts - DO NOT SAY IT !
John says - FU MANCHU -

OMG - he said it..................it was exactly what I was thinking.
Exactly.
And so I had to change it.  ( actually I just turned it around and added something different )

Because an evil villain does NOT belong on a flower pot

Although if I put it in the front of the house it may work to deter criminals?

I can't even get a fleurs de lys right......................

Have a wonderful day everyone !
It's a rainy day here in Montreal - hope it's sunny where you are :)
Hugs,
Me

  3. I was thinking the same thing...lol! I like all three now and the blue interior is really pretty. It's sunny here today, but we have had more than our fair share of rain over the last two weeks! Not complaining though as the plants love it. Have a great Monday!

  4. Oh yeah, it's sunny and hot as he...no I won't say it. But seriously, I think it's the stencil and not your ability. It was probably made in China...isn't that where Fu Man Chu is from?

  5. Have those same stencils!
    Love em!
Please please please can we see the front of the house with all the plants?

  7. Cute flower pots! We're in the rain here for the most of the week. Ugh! So depressing when all I want is sun and heat and I'm cold and don't want to do anything but sleep.

  8. Your pot is lovely and I didn't even notice until you mentioned it but funny now that you mentioned it
Turn your pot upside down and no one will know or turn your stencil upside down on the next pot and would probably look completely different

  9. Oh Suzan, you know where my expletive mind was going .. lol.. but I never saw Fu Manchu until you said something. Now I'll never be able to look at a fleur de lis without seeing Fu Manchu... or at least looking for him. lol
I'll share the sunny 90 degrees and feels like 99 because of 63% humidity with you! :))) It's good to share.
The pots look great. Can't wait to see them filled with plants and enjoying a Montreal summer. :) ~ Christina

  10. LMHO - I thought, hm, not sure what it is but it looks a little odd...then boom! John said it. Haha, I get it now. What you changed it to is better, love the others. :-)
Sunny here, finally, but I'm not complaining about the rain. We so desperately needed it! It definitely feels like Summer now.

  13. I think you and John need a vacation. Your imaginations are running a little wild. Or I have none.
    Either way, cute pots.
