Natalie Cole sang it best..............
I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all
When snowflakes fall
I wish you love
I really wish you love..................
Unless you live in the South - and then I just wish you love
As much as your heart can hold - as deep as your soul can absorb - as far as your eyes can see.
If you're on your own this Christmas please know that you are loved - you're most definitely loved - each and every one of you..................
by me.
All the very best - today - tomorrow and always - I'm so grateful for your friendship - it's one of the gifts I cherish most.
I'll be back on Friday - ( for a little chat about this and that )
Love,
Me
I had to crawl back out of bed - because John just mumbled - half asleep -
John says - Did you wish your bloggers a Merry Christmas?
Suzan says - Yes I did
John says - Did you include me in that?
Suzan says - No I didn't
John says - Do you think you could please?
Suzan says - I'm too tired to get back up
But I felt guilty - he considers you guys his friends too - so here you go
John says - Merry Christmas everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
( he really needs to start his own blog................)
UPDATE!!!
One of my readers ( Kim's Bliss ) just let me know that she is Paul Reid's daughter.
Paul Reid was a beloved figure in Montreal Radio ..............a tradition was to sit with hot chocolate and listen to his magical voice sweep us away with his Christmas Stories -
If you have last minute wrapping to do - or baking or just a little time to sit back in your favorite chair and listen to this - you'll be swept away..............I promise.
I am.
Every single time I listen to him.
This particular one is called " The Littlest Angel " which has always been one of my personal favorites -
Be prepared to be filled with much inner peace...................
Lovely post Suzan! I'm one of those in the south, so no snowflakes for me, but do raindrops count? It has rained almost nonstop for the past couple days and is supposed to continue this weekend! Have a blessed and beautiful Christmas with John and your family.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky
Merry Christmas to y'all too, Suzan and John. Love you back! And yes, we'd love to read John's side of the story. His perspective would be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteAnd while we don't have snow, we at least have cold weather. Yay! A fire in the fireplace. :)
Big hugs,
Cecilia
Thanks so much Cecilia - it's pouring rain here today so the snow is quickly leaving:(
DeleteBut I'm going downstairs to turn the fire on now and wrap last minute gifts !
Have a beautiful Christmas -
Much love
XOXOXO
Merry Christmas John! Don't tell Suzan, but I come half the time to see what torture your wife has brought onto you and how well you made it through. Especially was impressed that you knocked lightly (instead of knocking over) to get out of the doors she staged her chair in front of and walled you in behind...So, Merry Christmas...I have a feeling it's going to be a long new year for you buddy. Regards, Sharon (one of your biggest fans)

I think maybe he likes us bloggers too!

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Suzan and John! All the very best to you both. Do you ever listen to Paul Reids Christmas on CJAD? I know it's a Christmas tradition for many Montreal families. The show is played several times each December. He was my Dad- so I am blessed to still hear him remember Christmas each and every year. May all your Christmas dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteKim Reid Arsenian xxoo
Well Paul Reid's daughter - I'm happy to tell you that we DO listen to your Dad's words ! How blessed you are !

Thank you Suzan! I kind of figured a Montreal girl such as yourself would be familiar. I'm all set now. Decorating, shopping, wrapping and baking all done. All that remains now is a fire in the fireplace, a glass of wine, and my kids to arrive. Of course, Dad will be on the radio! Love and blessings to you and yours!!XXOO
